I doubt you'd find his average face thaaaat attractive if you hadn't met it as an Olympic swimmer.

I'm normally not someone who is attracted to celebs more than to other people. I honestly think he's very cute

And I also normally don't find people attractive who do lots of sports. So him being an olympic swimmer would be a minus on my list :laughga:

I don't know what it is with young people. And I'm 27 myself. Where does this desire to cheat come from? Especially so early in a relationship? These young ones are cheating even when they should still be in the first hot flush of a new relationship. "Going on a break" is now code for "bang everything that moves while you have the chance." The article also brings up that shortly after the engagement announcement, he had an 11-month correspondence with another guy who he was asking to meet - but Tom never addresses this bit! So, that kinda undercuts what he was saying earlier about how his actions were fine because he was on a break. Typical, he wants to avoid the more controversial incident. And it depresses me that so many young people take nude pictures of themselves as a matter of course and circulate them on social media (and are then shocked when they fall into the wrong hands). I'll admit, even I had the odd inkling to take one before and then I thought: "Why? I've no one to send it to and what if my phone/computer gets hacked into or it breaks and I have to get it fixed and someone else sees my photos?" So, that idea went out the window and thank God for that because I did need a new laptop not long after which my dad had to set up for me and I'm positive he must have had to look through my photos as everything was where it should be. So, I thank my lucky stars that instinct served me well.

Honestly, I don't know who's madder for deciding to go for marriage. Tom or Dustin. Tom's too young to be with an older man, Dustin's clearly too mature for him and is ready to settle down whereas Tom clearly isn't. Not many people get married at 22, if he's already pondering cheating then it's pointless to pretend that he's ready for commitment any day now. I don't get why older partners think it's right to tie down some young thing who still has a lot of life to live. It'll only end in tears.

He's a diver. They have different body types than swimmers.

Aaaand another thread that exemplifies why so many no longer support/engage with/relate to gay culture.  Not slut/sex shaming at all...just the absurdity and gendered bullshit that comes with it... [yes, I'm a former "twink" gone "hippie, queer, socialist/communist/anarchist" so gay male culture--which is assimilationist is a mess to me]...but keep doing what you doing gay men...:sharon:...and no, I do not have a Tumblr or SJW page lol

****ing preach it!  Age, gay relationships, hell--relationships in general.  I know a couple--two gay men--that were trying to spice it up by inviting a third and then it destroyed them.  I believe in and do not believe in monogamy...human beings need to do a way better job at living authentically and, more importantly, honestly communicating.

Each situation is inherently different, for sure.  Yet, we can not rely on individualism or monogamy...so how do we synthesize the two?

If you're tempted to cheat...say something before it happens and work on it/split up before the lies build up.

Helen Fisher is an expert on human relationships and discusses our various drives...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helen_Fisher_(anthropologist)...her TED talks are dope, too.  She ends one of her more hopeful interview on romance by saying "semper ad astra" -- "always to the stars..."

EDIT: most romantic relationships are a perfect illusion :stalkga: and we need to do a better job and living more truthfully---even if it hurts/isn't the norm.
