Sometimes I just feel like y'all want bops and then you sugarcoat it with "I miss old Gaga changing the industry blah blah blah"

Exactly! Where the **** are the bops?!:madge:

while I'll agree this may not be the most exciting era so far, I can't even think about leaving her. She's done so much for me, she's my savior in all honesty. I've thought about her every day since I first heard Poker Face in 2008. She's my happiness and I'll never stop supporting her. #momforever

and once she slays the superbowl, gets her tour going, does ahs s7, and not to mention when she'll snatch the F*CK out of our weaves when she plays Donatella in acs, everyone will be back to obsessing over her. :trollga:

I think OP is right in that no new artist on the pop scene has become the cultural phenomena that Gaga really was through 2009 and 2010. I honestly think that's why she continues to be judged so harshly...cause while artists have definitely come and been successful, none have really impact pop culture the way Gaga did (and even Katy...her Teenage Dream Era that is...).

Idk why people think that pop music is the only music that exists... There is literally thousands of musicians out there. If you don't like what's on the radio, then listen to something else. We have so many options for listening to music these days that we never did before! CDs, cell phones, Spotify/streaming services...

Pop music will always be repetitive, have long lasting trends, be about mostly meaningless subject matter.

If you don't like the current trends that doesn't mean that 'pop music needs to be saved', it means that pop music is currently pandering to the majority audience, which is not you, but is still the majority. It will only change when the majority gets bored of the current trends and jumps onto something different.

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
