Is the original LG5 really what we think it is?

The "Original LG5" is the 8 songs (or more) with RedOne. Gaga said that the album would be inspired by the darkness of her roles in AHS which I think we clearly didn't get to see/hear on Joanne. Elton John also said he heard a few songs and that they sounded like BR and Y&I (as mentioned above). Weren't they also supposed to have a collab?

There obviously is a scrapped amount of songs that was supposed to be the "Original LG5", with a (I'm guessing) more disco/pop sound. But the good sis chose to go country instead iUTf1_zpsff3de000.gif?w=480&h=480&fit=cl

Moroder never got to work with Gaga in the end.

Nile Rodgers worked with her for Chic's album, not LG5.

Diane Warren worked on two songs, probably helped just in the writing process.

All the 8 RedOne songs were in acoustic form (see: Angel Down's Work Tape).

At the end of 2015 she probably had 10 songs max in demo version. To me that's not an "album" that can be scrapped, it's part of the creative process leading an album that was released later and obviously didn't include every song that was written (I'm not even gonna say produced because I'm pretty confident most of the songs that didn't make the cut were just left in an early demo form).

Yes, I think all the demos were in acoustic form. Maybe Diane Warren and Nile Rodger songs are more disco

Wrong... RedOne confirmed that his 8 songs were done as final versions and the original lead single was one of those songs... Angel Down is probably another songs that wasn't finished by them.

In late 2015 they posted a pic of them in studio mixing and mastering.

And you know that how exactly? So just because one demo was accoustic, that means the whole thing was? No tea, no shade but you're leaving a very sour taste in my mouth.

Honestly I do think there was a previous concept, we can clearly see in those Joanne Making Episodes that most of the songs were made in 2016. It feels like she said, wait, I don't like this, let's start again.

Actually Mark said in an interview that the Joanne idea was in her mind since around 2009 (or 2011, I can't remember the year) when they briefly met and she talked to him about doing a personal album. But it didn't happen at that time...

Maybe she took the chance to have him involved to make this project real this time ?

The album idea yes, but not Joanne, she clearly said in an interview that she did not know the name of the album until they kind of finished it.

yeah of course, like I said sooner, Joanne existed only when Mark was involved in 2016, not before, as the song Joanne has been created with him during those sessions (same for all the songs from Joanne actually)

They were using a synthetizer. They were certainly not mixing. If anything, Gaga posted a snap saying she was headed to mix some songs in Feb, but even then we don't know which songs she mixed.

@PropaGaga probably knows much more than everyone on here and he's already confirmed everything I've said. I'm sorry for bringing them up since they clearly dislike this place but if it can help bring some light in here...

Just like you guys don't know if things are like you're describing them. But I at least I have been paying attention to what PropaGaga has been saying for all this time.

Why can't she just release 2 album in 3 years? Her discography need more albums and songs. :bye:
ACTII and pre-LG5 will forever be in my heart. :rip:

maybe still planned we'll see ?

But to be honest if she fails to get a bit of success for next single after SB, I think the only promo for Joanne will be the tour. Then it's over until next album. There's no way she'll get the two years longevity she wants for Joanne if she can't have a hit (or at least a song doing good). Especially with the visual she give in her video lately.

SB is her last chance to make Joanne last to me ^^

Ok let's face one thing: Gaga was already writting\working by the end of artRAVE in 2014. :laughga:

It's impossible to say that Joanne was the original concept for the album and all. It was already stated that Joanne & Diamond Heart were the first songs made for the album by the begin of 2016 (she said she wrote Joanne when she Mark gave her a Guitar for her Birthday, it means Joanne (the song) was done around March\April 2016, and Mark Ronson said that Diamond Heart was the first song that started to shape the album and Joanne was made right after. It means Diamond Heart was probably from March too).

We know about 8 songs that were "FINISHED" with RedOne. She worked with that man for the whole 2015....for sure they did more than only 8 songs. I think these "8 Songs" were the ones that were DONE for the record itself while they were creating the rest. (Let's not forget about "Oh we had a lead single but she scrapped idk what will happen" from R1).

She worked with Diane writting at least one uptempo song, she worked with Nile Rodgers (I don't think they would just work on the album for CHIC while she was working on her OWN record too... just saying).

It's almost sure that she had songs that were inspied by Disco (I was a Disco Queen. I still am)\Electropop\Dance but she just changed her mind for Joanne.
