It just kind of striked me as strange how that user just hopped right into what the right is doing instead of acknowledging the actual hate crime. And BLM is trash... my point stands, I don't care how many excuses the left brings up. They ruined a good message by wanting power and superiority instead of equality.

Insofar as their "good message" is "ruined" by wanting "superiority," I will agree with you, but the cases of this aren't as prevalent as you think, and your bias is allowing you to grossly misunderstand what the majority of people in the BLM movement are wanting. Since when has BLM ever been calling for more than equality? When have they claimed superiority? Where are you getting this stuff? Please answer, I'm curious.

Your point doesn't stand. BLM has a legit message stemming from the way black people are treated differently by cops than white people. You are the one who brough name-calling into this discussion, which should be civil. You are the one who made assumptions. I can guarantee you that everyone in this thread is in agreement: what happened was horrific and evil.

My point still stands. BLM hates white people, they march in the streets destroying cities and yell how much they hate white people and want dead cops. Just watch this, stay woke as they would say.

The founder of BLM said that "white people are a subhuman race" or something along those lines

also there's a lot of extremists who attack any white person they see, and will say that they hate white people, or do things like you saw in the video in very extreme cases.

The message of BLM is important, but the movement is a mess

If anyone says they outright hate white people, I'm against that. If anyone calls for shooting cops, I'm against that. Are there people who identify with BLM who might be a little ****ed up? Yes. Is it the majority? No. Does it negate their main point? No. Look at what the stated mission of BLM is. Look at their leaders. None of them are calling for cops to be killed. Don't conflate what a couple of unruly protestors are doing with the entire movement just because it's convenient for your worldview.

There are a lot of good cops, but the system needs to be called out, because the system is failing. In their justified anger, some protesters might go to far, but certainly not all of them, and again, it doesn't negate their point.

Here is a perfect example of why the BLM movement is still necessary:

This white boy in Idaho and his white friends attacked a mentally disable black man at their school. The jammed a wire hanger into his rectum, raping him, and causing internal damage. Heinous right? Yes! It's heinous just like what the 4 black kids in Chicago did to the mentally disabled white boy.

Here's the diference. I can almost guarantee you that the 4 in Chicago will get very extreme (and deserved punishments). What did the white boy in Idaho get?

Community service.

This discrepancy in which black people are so often treated differently by the justice system and cops is the reason for BLM, and the presence a few bad apples doesn't negate that. Yes, let's call out the bad apples, but let's not malign an entire movement that is bringing awareness to the fight for equality and justice reform.

When you so easily disregard an entire huge movement because you saw a youtube video that showed some unruly protestors, you are helping to perpetuate the system that we are all trying to fight against.

Can you provide a receipt for that first statement?

I agree that extremists are a problem, but as you said, it doesn't negate the message. I am all for trying to clean up the (admittedly very loose) movement, but I will not outright condemn ALL of BLM and I certainly won't condemn the fight for equality in the justice system.

Every quote I've seen from the "leaders" of BLM has been reasonable.

It's not just a few bad apples though, the founder of BLM literally said that white people are sub-human :toofunny: It is the majority of BLM, instead of fighting against the cops and injustice they just fight every human being with white skin, it's ridicilous.

Official ruling:

"All four suspects were charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Hill, Cooper and Covington were also charged with residential burglary. Hill was additionally charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, according to the attorney's office."

Well, if that's a legit photo, I absolutely disagree with her, and I think a lot of other BLM leaders would as well. I can disagree with individuals and still acknowledge that SOMETHING needs to be done about the racial inequality in the justice system. And I don't think all BLM leaders would agree with her.

The problem is that BLM is a very loose movement with a lot of different leaders in different places. They have no real power structure.

The core thing that BLM in GENERAL is trying to point out is something I will always support, and although I can disagree with the way some people or groups of people act, I do refuse to condemn the entire BLM movement precisely because it's so loose and diverse.

they are legit, but yeah I don't want you to think I just hate everyone in BLM bc I think they're fighting against the mainstream to get this issue resolved, which is a lot of the reason why a lot of people hate it so much. Like you said the majority of people in BLM don't think this way, but the media only likes to shine a spotlight on the extreme ones who want supremacy instead of equality

I agree with you, it's the other person in this thread that I really felt I should attempt to educate. <3 That news story about the thing in Idaho that I posted is a perfect example of why these issues shouldn't be swept under the rug. Let's talk without calling each other "disgusting," as the other member did.
