This is so sick on so many levels. Humans are supposed to be the ultimate species because we have the ability to use language and comprehension skills but something went horribly wrong and we became the most sadistic species on the planet. Humans are the only species that kill/maim "because they can". It's stories like this that make me lose faith in humanity.

The police cheif you are talking about also said this during the press conference on this attack, "Kids make stupid mistakes, I shouldn’t call them kids, they are legally adults, but they are young adults and the make stupid decisions. That certainly will be part of whether or not we seek a hate crime, determine whether or not this is sincere or stupid ranting and raving."

Race is mentioned during the attack multiple times, his mental disability is not. They force him to say "I love black people" while drinking toilet water. While they are cutting him they screamed "**** white people."

It's been announced that they are charging them with a hate crime.

You really shouldn't make assumptions about people. I'm pretty sure everyone in this thread thinks that what happened is disgusting and heinous. The fact that the person you're responding to didn't show enough outrage to please you is very strange. Do you really doubt that the person you're attacking and calling "disgusting" thinks that what happened is indeed terrible?

And they have a point. The right is using this as a villification of the entire BLM movement which actually is total and complete BS. 1) Investigators have found no actual connections to BLM among the 4 2) BLM is a HUGE group, and there are bad apples in every group 3) Prominent BLM leaders have already stated the obvious: that this is a terrible crime against the core message of BLM.

The BLM movement started to bring awareness to the way blacks are targeted and treated differently by cops than whites for doing the same things as whites. This is an important message that we shouldn't cheapen by calling BLM a terrorist group. If there are bad apples who happen to identify with BLM, lets not villify the entire group or their important message, especially when their leaders are obviously against violence like what happened in Chicago.

Dig a little deeper before you go on a rant against a stranger on an online forum for a 1 sentence post.

It just kind of striked me as strange how that user just hopped right into what the right is doing instead of acknowledging the actual hate crime. And BLM is trash... my point stands, I don't care how many excuses the left brings up. They ruined a good message by wanting power and superiority instead of equality.

Your point doesn't stand. BLM has a legit message stemming from the way black people are treated differently by cops than white people. You are the one who brough name-calling into this discussion, which should be civil. You are the one who made assumptions. I can guarantee you that everyone in this thread is in agreement: what happened was horrific and evil.
