Tbh Joanne is more aimed to the GP than to her own fans, I mean just look at the lyrics of most of the songs, especially the two songs she picked as singles... It's very simple, easy to relate to. The writing on Joanne is definitely made for GP to like her, a lot more than on any of her previous albums.

The big problem is not music or Gaga herself, it's the way her team is handling her career, her visual, her promo in general, her deals with radios, her streaming and so on... Her management has to be changed asap. SB will help for sure, but it's not like Gaga's management is responsible of this promo spot as the NFL came to her (not the contrary).

Her management SUCKS. We all know Troy was a jerk but he'd never allow these messes to happen :nails: She made a GP-oriented relatable album and they're not even able to present it to the target group in the right way... What makes me sad is realizing that she is probably the one in charge, agreeing with all these missteps.

Too many people here with moral superiority complex.

She promoted it with i think 9 radio interviews before it debuted on #15 at Billboard Hot 100, on the issue date September 20, it entered Top 20 which is pretty impressive for a indie Rock Song, now imagine if she promoted it further on the Biggest TV shows NON-STOP, she could've done what she did with Just Dance which was a sleeper hit, but a shorter waiting span of time for PI of course, because unlike 2008, she's now an icon that could sell her name itself.

Honestly idk, PI is good, maybe not radio friendly, people are tired of Gaga, who even knows :spin:

Day by day, she is losing touch with reality and this the :tea:

Monsters have lost touch with reality, reality is not pop charts and number ones, reality is family, reality is life, and lady gaga is fully in touch with her reality, Joanne is her reality, it's her family, what the hell is number one? What the hell is pop charts?

People are tired of pop music, pop music is over, Gaga's album is doing fairly well, it's a fact, you all just mad it's doing well and it's not dance. You all mad it's not just dance music that sells anymore.

It's way too badass for the poor sis, the GP.

Basically. It positively rocks, but from the very first listen, I knew that, without a lot of promo, it wouldn't work.

No promo, video didn't help, too noisy, not radio friendly at all...

Hate to admit, but true. Wich doesn't mean I don't like that bop...
But GP are not used to this I guess :nails:

She didn't do the necessary promo and the song was way too loud for the radio. The GP was clearly not here for it and the video didn't help. And I believe the artwork was an instant turn off. There are so many better songs on Joanne. I can't believe they literally cherry picked the worst song on the album to launch the era. If everything after it flops, I will blame it on PI. Honestly lead singles are such an important factor in having a successful era I can't believe her team slipped the chance out of their hand, they should have released something less risky and experimental for the lead. Poor sis DIC was done SO WRONG :sis:

It was abandoned too soon. The Greatest is just now getting good radio numbers and it wasn't abandoned. PI was a hit that got away. I listen to it and I still find it to be one of the best songs on the album.
