Mariah Carey is the only Artist, whose first five Chart entries all went to #1. Mariah Carey currently has 18 #1 Singles, being the female with the most. She's also the female with the most cumulative weeks at #1 with 79. Mariah Carey is the first female to debut at #1 with a Single ('Fantasy' in 1995), with three Single #1 debuts she is the person with the most #1 debuts. She's the only artist who had a No.1 Single each year of the 90's. Every Lead Single of hers, until 'Loverboy' (which was the best selling Song of 2001 and peaked at #2), peaked at #1 (Vision of Love, Emotions, Dreamlover, Fantasy, Honey, Heartbreaker). The Single 'One Sweet Day' holds the record for the longest running #1 Single with 16 Weeks, close to that is 'We Belong Together' with 14 Weeks at #1 to it's name. Both have been named Song of the Decade. Mariah Carey blocked her second Single 'Shake It Off' from going #1 due to 'We Belong Together' still being in the lead. The 'Glitter' Soundtrack sold over 3 Million copies and became one of the best selling Soundtracks in 2001. Not only known as the Voice, Mariah Carey is also the female that produced the most #1 Singles. She produced 14 #1 Singles and wrote 17. Also her by comparison smaller comeback from the biggest flop in history outpeaking most of the irrelevants the brats on this forum who refuse to give Mariah credit stan for. She has enough. I just want an album more enjoyable than her last 2. Almost every album of hers till EMC2 destroys memoirs and Elusive Chanteuse is just ok. I don't act anything. No matter how she charts now, she has achieved such colossal success that it doesn't even matter. As long as she keeps releasing quality music I'll be happy.
