DIC is not radio-friendly

There are so many songs being played on the radio that are just as sexual

 

People won't accept a song that is about masturbation

These past hits prove otherwise

 

It's not subtle about what it is

I have played it to my parents several times, and they still haven't figured out what it's about.

 

DIC is creepy

No it's not. There are far creepier songs out there that are currently hits.

 

DIC is not hit-material

Yes it is. It has a great beat. The spoken hook is catchy. It has a modern tropical feel. It has really noisy and weird synths playing in the background, which is also trendy. 

 

It will ruin Gaga's image

What image? Her being this sanitized, tame, basic version of former self? If anything, this song is going to bring her back to where she was. As a ballsy, sexy, confident artist.

The same people that think DIC is not single worthy are the same people that want Joanne as a single.

 

Can't say for sure.  We all though MR was going to be a hit.  Look how that turned out.  Out of all the songs DIC is the most Gaga type song.  It's the song that radio would play rather than a ballad.  It's poppy, easy to dance to, and really funky.  It's kind of what radio wants from Gaga and what the GP expect from Gaga.

I don't get the arguments that say "It'll ruin her image" or "It's too sexual". She put a song about masturbation on an album titled after her late aunt. If she wanted to keep a "squeaky clean" image or something, she definitely wouldn't have done that.

Creepy the verse of Juicy J in Dark Horse. But no one pays attention to it.
