Gaga doesn't need hit singles anymore

This post isn't directly addressing your comment, I just want to get it off my chest.

Just because Million Reasons and Perfect Illusion didn't take off doesn't mean other songs won't down the line. Fans here are still expecting instant success because that's what is expected of Gaga, even though every single fan on this site knows that Gaga is not so lucky when it comes to charting. Songs like Diamond Heart (especially Diamond Heart), Joanne, Dancin' In Circles, John Wayne, and maybe even Angel Down are all single worthy and have potential to chart high. Joanne isn't over, especially when she will be promoting it at the SB while it's still a recently released album. IMO the Superbowl will be a restart button for Joanne. It will be way more publicized than her own album release was for Joanne (no shade intended).

I can imagine it's hard for Gaga to choose singles when she doesn't leave room for fillers, so obviously she's going to have plenty of misses. Eventually the stars will line up.

Perfect Illusion? Songs don't just randomly take off.. They're promoted by a label up until a certain point. PI flopped and has been long abandoned by her team

The Fame Joanne

If she doesn't have hits she will have Glory-sized flops with her next albums and after some years she will decline even more. And this does matter bc it affects her tours. I want her to be still able to tour the world

Delusional

Every artist needs a hit once a while to avoid being forgotten

Beyoncé isn't forgotten and she's only had 2 minor hits in almost 10 years (Runnin' and DIL)

Madonna hasn't had a recognisable hit in years either and is still regarded as a legend and she relies on her tours now so idk what y'all are on about because gaga is now a staple in popular culture

She may not have hits now , but in her prime times she had about forty top ten hits so she really doesn't need to worry about producing new hits. When she was in her 30's, she released a hit after a hit and her chart performances were unmatched. Not a big fan of hers but these are the facts. The same goes for Rihanna , she's accumulated so many smashes on her discography , she doesn't have to worry about getting another top 3 hit. When it comes to Gaga, people only remember her TF an TFM and some BTW hits. In Europe she hasn't had a smash hit since TEOG. It doesn't sound good ,especially since she was condidered the new queen of pop.

Having hits at the time =/= rememberable hits Madge & Rih like most singers only have 3-4 truly rememberable hits where everyone knows about them and can sing every word. If you asked someone to sing every lyric to the majority of their hits most people won't know them unless they were a fan at the time. People will remember lyrics to Vogue, Express Yourself, Like a Virgin, Like A Prayer and if you're lucky some of a more modern song like Hung Up (which the ABBA sample is the only reason it's a good song imo but that's off topic). They'll also know Umbrella, S.O.S., We Found Love and Diamonds and at a stretch maybe Pon De Replay and Unfaithful. But I can tell you they won't remember Madge's hits from the 80s like Live To Tell, Crazy For You, and her more modern ones like Ray of Light and pretty much everything post 2007. Just like how Gaga will be remembered by Poker Face, Bad Romance, Born This Way, The Edge of Glory, Alejandro/Telephone in Europe and You & I in America.

Sure Gaga, Madge and Rih might grasp some more hits here and there but nothing is ever gonna add to these songs as classic hits from them now it's simple.

Album artists thrive more now because they sell albums well ala Gaga, Bey & Rih (although rih's latest album sales are inflated because 1m copies were given away for free) and they survive on epic tours ala madonna, gaga & bey and outsider related investments Bey with her perfumes & Ivy Park, Madonna with her charity and Gaga with acting.

You can't compare Madonna who had 25 extremely successful years with Gaga who had three. It's delusional to think that she is at Madge's point where she can tour without new hits.

And in the fourth decade of her career, Madge is still selling as much copies WW as Gaga. Cause Rebel Heart did about as good as Joanne

Madonna may have had success but only a small portion of that success is recognizable by non-fans, believe me as a non-fan who is also in tune with stan culture i sure as hell don't remember anything about her between 2001-now for sure and nothing between her 2 recognisable hits from the late 80s until Erotica happened. They will only remember her peak and nothing else and Madonna's album of two years old is only slightly outselling gaga's which has only been around for like 2 nearly 3 months, by legit 300k worldwide and that's it. Also Beyonce could be considered the same since she has only had roughly 6 recognizable hits as a solo act and 2 as a group act. Sure her overrated presence based on her looks and dance ability sustains her but she hasn't had a recognizable hit in 3 years and a major hit in almost 10 years like Gaga and they're both still doing well as album artists and both known for their tours like Madonna is so it literally doesn't matter. Gaga has an established enough fanbase and recognizable presence in the GP to tour for the rest of her career. But she's doing it right she's picking up 1-2 recognizable hits per album still. Plus her latest one is having longevity with little promo.

She needs. She isn't a legend yet. She has a legendary song, yes, but Bad Romance can't sustain her career forever. Let's not be delusional.

She does need hits and you're lying to yourself if you think she doesn't, Without a hit soon she will flop into oblivion. Her old hits like Pokerface won't keep her going. Some people are saying Bad Romance, I guess it's a hit but missed the number one spot.

If you think an artist doesn't need to be successful or have some hits once in a while you are delusional. If she won't have any new hits she'll be just like Cyndi Lauper. A big debut who went downhills.

A kii a mess a cackle

Noone here knows Gaga is still around. She seems more relevant to us than others because we are on a Gaga fanpage, jesus guys :smh:

Just like noone outside of pop forums knows what an Azealia Banks is. You all are not the GP. You see things in another way

Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

Except Gaga is not forgotten because she is constantly on TV and the internet in one way or another.

Not yet tho. If the next 2 albums doesn't have hit

I'm not sure people will care anymore
