The amount of people moaning because no theatrics and costumes

This is the one of the main attributes that the fans drawn to gaga in the first place. Imagine a Gaga concert without monsters wearing costumes.

Joanne music is much better in live. The dive bar tour totally took all the songs to another level. IMO ArtRave has too much backing vocals and effects (I get its EDM but back then Monster Ball has more live elements) I am actually super excited for the tour this time and just wish she can release the dates already.

I've been on the three tours that have been on Spain, and the 90% of the attendees wasn't wearing costumes. People can wear costumes on Joanne tour if they want, it will be no dresscode.

There will be theatrics and beautiful dresses, not necesarilly the kind she dressed before. Can you imagine doing the same album after album, tour after tour?

Joanne Tour will surely be successful in the US because of SuperBowl. The question is if Gaga is still a force in Europe (non English speaking countries). Her popularity has declined drastically here since ARTPOP though she is a household name but more because of her theatrical, crazy (stage) performances.

Hopefully they promote her tour enough to motivate people to go see her live even if it's gonna be a more subtle, stripped-down concert tour.

Take a look at Madonna

Madonna put out a dance album that is well suited for the kind of tour she likes to give.

You're right, she's basically forgotten apart from US. Despite all the promotions for Joanne, those have little to zero impact outside of the US.

If Fifth Harmony can tour on one hit single, Gaga can tour on an album that does well with no hit singles. Considering the stark decline of album sales, Joanne is a formidable commercial success. She outsold almost all major female pop releases of 2015 & 2016 (except Beyoncé and Adele). Y'all don't need to worry about touring.

Ariana, she hasn't passed Ari WW yet.

All of you saying ARTPOP :ladyhaha: do you guys even know who holds the record for highest grossing tour by female artist? :reductive: and when was the last time she had a hit? :reductive: no shade though :reductive:

Do you know that she's been over 3 decades in the music industry while Gaga is not even 1?

the revisionism with ARTPOP lmao

The promo of that album was awful, and Gaga did some of the worst and more rushed performances, for not talk about that by this time ARTPOP's promo was over.

I agree with what you said but ARTPOP still had great performances at the vmas, amas and she debuted the applause video on gma with a good performance as well. There was a 2 day prerelease party, and we had Ellen, Snl, X factor, Graham Norton, a bunch of other interviews, the thanksgiving special, her Japan performances, roseland  and more. The Joanne era is not over yet but as of now, ARTPOP had more and better promo imo.

omg the negativity on this thread :toofunny: the tour will do just fine. even if she does end up back at 5,000+ size theaters, she will still put on an amazing show (Monster Ball 1.0)

That J

Yea it's just no exposure this era. Performing in front of the world in February won't amount to anything.

there's a fine line between negativities and facts. Be open minded and discuss the facts, do a complain without constructive comment, that's a negativity without an actual discussion.

ARTPOP era had a couple, a couple of very good performances, and many mediocre performances. Applause on GMA wasn't good at all, it seemed as rushed and unimaginative as MR video to me. This era have had everything ARTPOP's had but better, except the muppets special that I don't miss at all.
