You did a brilliant job. The comparison to the timeframe of MR really highlights how well you've done. :golfclap:

I love the alien/horse concep and as surreal as it is I actually connected. I think it's one of the better music videos I've seen in a while.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

As a fellow artist, we should all learn to respect And appreciate everyone's art, especially if you'd wish them to do the same for yours.  Being an artist you must understand everyone has different visions and those visions mean something special to that artist.  I hope you'd never again compare your work to anyone else's, claiming it to be the more impressive of the two.

ART is supposed to be subjective. It's meant to be torn apart, loved, criticized, compared. Art is not supposed to be safe from anything or anyone, it's not supposed to be invincible, it's supposed to be vulnerable once it's released onto the world. That's what all the great artists of the past faced, otherwise they wouldn't have flourished. That's the beauty of it.

I do respect her MR video and vision. Again, I'm commenting on the amount of time it took for something that was underwhelming to many.

Not when your video is a cheesy copy of the LDR aesthetic

Wasn't my idea believe me  She is obsessed with that stuff, and I respected her vision to do it.

This is honestly the type of video I wanted for MR. Just Gaga singing and crying alone in the desert/in a field playing the piano/guitar in the sunset until it gets dark and it turns into something like the performance at the AMAs.

If you don't want your work to be compared to Gaga's best (Bad Romance, Telephone, Judas, Paparazzi) then don't compare it to her worst. It just makes you look attention seeking and pretentious.

Otherwise, the video was super amazing. When I become a big star, you're directing ma visuhals. The very first 10 secs had me hooked in tbh, amazing.

The song: meh. Idk where she was going with that high note that I think my ears started ringing to :gum: And the concept of this video... a little tired.

Thank you :) And I don't think you understand the point yet. It's relevant for me to compare myself to Gaga in the case of Million Reasons video because I'm a nobody against the star power Gaga has, and all the resources she has access to. I compared because I was able to do something in such a short amount of time that appears much more thought out and cinematic (in my opinion) while Gaga took so long to deliver something that was underwhelming to many.

It would not make sense to compare Gaga's best works to me (and I don't see the point in that nor would be agitated ) because obviously she has the budget and resources when it comes to them...I'm just speaking in the case of the MR video. She's not using her resources properly.

But thanks again :) Don't mean to sound snobby

Sooo I'm a freelance filmmaker/cinematographer from LA...

ONE WEEK AGO I met this girl at Starbucks for the first time who an an emerging artist with this bop song :music: (really) and wanted to make a video for her

...and today, our music video is out!

We filmed this entire music video in just 5 HOURS of one day with a budget of $500 with virtually no crew, just me and my little camera. We only had 5 hours cause of scheduling issues and we can't return to location, so had to make it work.

Then I edited, colored, sound designed, and delivered for release in just 4 days...All of this within one week.

Please watch! :) The story is not the best but it's the artist's idea, she wants to be a crazy music festival EDM child. But I'm proud of the visuals :lolly:

...Meanwhile Gaga takes 2 months and...... :ladyhaha:

Edit: Don't take that too seriously ^ just commenting on the time it takes and what's delivered. Before you come for me I do not hate the MR video

I'm just proud and wanted to share.

  Reveal hidden contents

pls hire me gagz

We don't exactly know how long Million Reasons took to film and Gaga didn't take two months to film Million Reasons, it's called she wanted to wait to release it. DUH. So over this constant bitching about Joanne.

Go see A Star is Born

First of all, props for helping an emerging artist out. If the song was  better [5/10] I'd definitely watch it again. You got some awesome shots there but the whole alien/unicorn concept is a bit boring and not innovative. To me that kills the replay value.

When compared to the Million Reasons video, this one wins by far. The MR video sucks. Especially if you consider she could hire great directors - 'cause Gaga's directing is terrible, I mean look at G.U.Y, there's nothing innovative about it and it's just overall boring -  and has an entire creative team to come up with an innovative music video concept and, of course, how long to she takes to release a video.
