sillynate 6,170
All this talk about labels changing things makes me wonder how great the music industry could be if there weren't labels

Labels literally have no power with them.

13VictorC 1,102
I think that's what sets Gaga apart. She always delivers something different wrapped in pop.
adamsenigma 9,520
I'm sure ARTPOP could have been a master piece if it wasn't because of Interscope.. I mean, Gaga used to talk about the album as a creative revolution, that it was something really artsy and avant-garde. Listening to the Venus, Fashion!, Aura and Applause demos makes me think she was really heading to the right direction; An EDM ravy album, full of sick, almost demential beats. i'm sure thats how the original ARTPOP was supposed to be. "My pain exploding into electronic music" would have fit better with that thought on mind.
Bette Davis 12,742
Yes, but that's why I love her. I love getting pop infused with different genres instead of her barfing out her version of what's popular on the radio. Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet. Sizzily 14,543
It annoys me how that happens but now we have Joanne Tears in the rain
Ooolong 4,440
Yes. It works in some instances and doesn't in others. Mad though, the demos of Venus sounded so retro and eargasmic . The vocals on the final version are better, in the demo they were too auto-tuned, but in the demo, the BEATS, THE BEATS ,GIRL. hELXIG 43,337
I think she does! By the things she's said in interviews before it would seem like it's true. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
SilkSpectre0 547
I don't think it's interscopes fault. She has always said what she wants is her music to reach the furthest it can. Pop is the music that can do that so she said she takes her visions and then channels the, through a 'pop lense'
