Did the hip change everything?

I mean, the only thing I could have seen the hip cause is that it made her audience move onto other artists because, thereafter, was the blackout. The blackout was more dangerous to Gaga than anything else really, but Gaga needed her time to recover. Had it not been for her hip and the subsequent blackout, ARTPOP would have been way more successful, in my opinion, and she'd still be a driving force in the pop like she used to be

Also, she could've even surpassed Katy in the whole Roar v Applause era, or at least have kept up with her, but Katy had two big hits—Part of Me and Wide Awake—which kept her relevant enough for Roar to outperform Applause. I will say that the beginning of the ARTPOP era was so promising in terms of music, excitement, and creativity, but there was so much mess behind the scenes that expectations were shattered and trust was broken. So I guess we shouldn't necessarily blame it on the hip, but the media blackout that resulted from it, but we can't even blame it on that because Gaga had to recover and take her time. Also, she could've made a rerelease of Born This Way to compete with The Complete Confection, but that would've been costly and a high risk after Marry the Night underperformed

I honestly believe EVERYTHING would have been different, there would be no hospital for Troy not to visit her in, there would have been a whole tour (maybe even a film or tv special of it) and then a huge perfume launch straight after. AND because of all of this Gaga may have looked more succesful and Troy and her team might have been more on board with ARTPOP (if it happened) and we could have had an amazing era there

Tbh I prefer the fact that her manager from now is a true friend of hers and makes her happy, than being together w that Troy rat

I agree but also Troy helped her get to where she is today so can't be all bad

Well if it wasn't the hip it would've been something else. She was overworking herself so much it was bound to catch up with her.

imo troy helped multiply her money, she and her friends where the reason she is where she's at today they were the ones who made the music, art, performances, fashion etc not troy he just gave her good PR the hard labor came from her and her alone tbh

Also I feel things wouldn't be much different if anything a blackout would've still happened because she'd have had to either cancel or postpone anyway and AP still would've been delayed till Q3 at least

Yeah that's what i'm saying, she's behind Lady Gaga but he was the one who helped her create her brand and helped turn her visions into something that we could watch and be apart of. She always says that now if she lost her fame she would be happy to play in a bar in New York but back then she wanted fame and he helped her achieve that. I think the bigger she got the more differences they had and she wanted to express her creative side more and he just wanted more money. Now lets hope Bobby can produce her money whilst in-keeping her visions and her artistry.

I think that ARTPOP would have been more organic, less 'psychedelic' if you will, which may have made the quality better.

Nevertheless, she probably would have released ARTPOP sooner and the overexposure would have been very damaging.

She'd probably still be managed by Troy, also.

ARTPOP is like the furthest thing from psychedelic :rip:. Maybe somewhat on Mary Jane Holland, but otherwise, I don't think so.

Edit: Although I do think it would've been more organic, and everything else you said would've been likely.
