DonnieDarko 10,186
Can anyone check Gaga's Kworb page? It seems like ARTPOP passed Joanne again. I mean how is that possible? Joanne sells more definitely but maybe overall number of countries that ARTPOP is charting in (a lot more than Joanne) has something to do with it? Ok, I understand what you mean... yes, ARTPOP has passed Joanne because it is charting better in irrelevant countries

But for some reason, there was no reason to attend the vmas, no reason to promote the lead single, no reason to promote the album before the release week, no reason to invest in the music videos, no reason to keep the song discounted after you release a crap video, no reason to push for banners etc
LittleMichael 23,329
I've just discovered that TFM stayed 86 weeks in Italian chart, BTW 47, The Fame 42, The Remix 27 and ARTPOP only 25!

It literally doesn't matter since when you hide the small countries, you see in which countries where you actually sell something ARTPOP is charting.. I think that both Gaga and her team were overconfident when this era started. I really believe that they thought that the lead single will sell itself and be a success since it is the lead single. That's why they only did radio interviews, to make sure they get that radio support and the rest will just click on its own. That obviously didn't happen, since the song itself didn't "click" with pretty much anyone. Because from a management point, the promo AFTER the actual album release and that one week before was on point, I'll give them that (minus maybe some banners and discounts mistakes). So yeah, from the beginning we had a big problem, and honestly I am surprised the album is selling this well so far. It must be because there are actually better songs than PI on it lol
Slovakialop 2,258
I were in a Tesco Hypermarket in Slovakia, they were playing Closer, and the folllwing song was: Paper Gangsta. Have to say that MR is here quite big on the radios. Slay my little country. EDIT: now they're playing Applause
GagaStan95 10,478
I'm very upset about Gaga's position in the fimi this week. She needs to crack top20 on Spotify?? She will fall on iTunes when she will probably. Glad she rised from 31 to 16 on TimMusic.

Unfortunately streams is more important than digital sales now BTW, it's rising on Spotify, so we could expect another peak next week
