Honestly curious here 1m copies of Anti were bought by Samsung and distributed for free download on Tidal for one day before Anti was released to itunes, it is true. was NickARTPOP

Honestly curious here She had a deal with Samsung, they give away 1m copies for free, of course she got paid for that, kinda similar to what Gaga did with Amazon. Google about it. Arizona Sky 10,913
Lets say she sells an average of 5k pure per week in 2017, she'll be at 630k by the end of the year. I think that things like ASIB can raise its sales even more. I think she could be at 700k pure by her next release in 2019-2020

That is the dumbest receipt Navy uses. People might have torrented/illegally downloaded the album as well (like Life of Pablo). But now because those 1 million digital copies were "gifted", it's an excuse to either drag somebody else's album sales or to defend Rihanna's sales. Those 1 million would have made no diffrence, especially since those gifted copies are mostly people who would have never bought the album anyway. Hell, even I tried to get one out of sheer hysteria and hype, but I wouldn't have bought the album.
Supersonic 49,376
Anyway, I'm quite happy she outsold Frank Ocean's mess. If people label that as a success, Joanne is a smash hit album.

IBeMe 117
Hello little Chartinistas! I came here as a refugee from ATRL. I've been browsing this chart thread for ages tho. Love the sales slayage. I predict 600k in the US in pure sales and 1.2-1.3M pure sales WW. If MR takes of a bit (like becomes a top 30 hit) and if the 3rd and fourth single get released and promoted (even if they might flop) then I can see the album doing 1.4M WW when it is all said and done. JustAnotherDay 8,402
I hope she is able to stabilize in the top 100 for most of the year. Top 50 on the year end would be nice. was NickARTPOP

It all depends on her promoting the record for a long time. I hope she does not leave this album behind. I need her to perform "Sinners Prayer" at the Country Music Awards with Chris Stapplton and give cheap mv's to album track songs. not as singles but just as little gifts to fans etc..this album has so much life left in it and I hope she milks it. 39 minutes ago, Bakki Del Rey said: Total Joanne Spotify Streams 9/01/17 208.386,535 This is really great! Her album track streamsare brilliant. they are on par with some Shawn Mendes and Ariana album track streams and they are considered Spotify "legends". Obviously they trump her in terms of singles streams but that is because they have radio support and spotify hit playlists support/exposure as well. I predict that at the end of the era she might reach between 500M to 600M streams which is amazing. So little female albums have reached the 1 Billion streams mark on spotify anyways so it is not bad if Gaga does not reach that.
Supersonic 49,376
10 minutes ago, Fish said: Not sure I understand your post Look. Album sales are now heavily dependant on fanbase size. Every fan that downloaded ANTI as part of the 1 million giveaways, probably STILL bought the album later either on iTunes or as a physical CD. But there are TONS (the majority) of people who are not Rihanna fans or just casuals, who just like her hits or were in it for the hype and would have not bought the album anyways but still participated in the giveaway. They would have streamed the songs on Spotify or illegally downloaded the album. So it does not make sense for the Navy to constantly use this "1 million were given away!" schtick everytime as a receipt to clock. They're pretending as if 90% of those one million would have actually thrown their coins at Rihanna if the giveaway had never existed.
JustAnotherDay 8,402
It will be interesting to see when the ASIB soundtrack is released, considering the films release date, I highly doubt it will be in 2017, probably summer 2018. I know it's cliche, but an EP would be a great way to bridge the gap between Joanne and ASIB, especially since we won't get another studio album until 2019 at the earliest. was NickARTPOP

It didnt make sense for me because just the mere fact that 1 million were giveaways is just a fact that works against Rihanna no matter how you put it; it just cannot be a useful navy receipt.
