Lady Gaga Permit Still Up in the Air: National Police

Djoko said that National Police Chief Gen. Timur Pradopo should use the time before the concert to compromise with all parties involved to reach the best solution possible, including discussions with Lady Gaga’s management, Big Daddy (the show’s promoter) and interested groups.

“Requirements could be applied, such as appearance, lyrics and the songs that should be adjusted to Indonesian social and cultural conditions,†Djoko said.

“The stage arrangement and choreography should also be discussed both verbally or written in an agreement.†Djoko said, adding that a positive dialogue with each party could prevent Indonesia from being judged negatively for intolerance toward foreign cultures.

A National Police spokesman recently said that it would comply with the decision taken by the Jakarta police to not issue a concert permit.

But National Police spokesman Brig. Gen. M. Taufik stressed that no decision had been made. “We will a--lyze everything, including those in the public who oppose it and support [the concert],†he said.

Wow, censoring (ahem, agreeing to "adapt to social and cultural conditions") the "appearance", lyrics, songs, choreography and stage arrangement? Oh, and I guess they don't actually even know yet that there's a whole plot about a new race full of acceptance and her being hounded by the government, etc.? I guess they've got a show in mind that involves her cutting every song but JD (can't say she drank too much though, Good Muslims don't drink - they just need her to suggest it was very strong tea :nono:), Paparazzi, EoG and Marry The Night, all performed in the BTW gown. Oh, at least she can keep the castle...if it doesn't look too Christian (come to think of it, the cross on top has GOT to go!). :smh:

And the fact that they're still evaluating the situation because effectively banning her show could just possibly, maybe lead to an image problem? Never mind that police forces and a ****ing Minister have made equally offensive statements about Gaga when compared to those groups threatening her?

Even if this outrageous situation considering safety didn't exist, I would still think that if ever there was a time to say f**** you (government), it would be now - by canceling this thing before these power trippers can get one more more "yes...but nah" shoved in there as if they actually have a say in anything she does or as if she needs them? :toofloppy:

Guys, stop it, we'll find out in 3, June.

Free forum, isn't it? Unlike Indonesia. :usrs: We've been trying to say "stop it" to Indonesian officials as well for the entire week because if you hadn't noticed, they are the ones in charge here. ;)

And now I can't stop thinking about these "DEVIL'S SPAWN!" people actually hearing a song not called Judas or Pokerface for the first time...

MTN: - She's marrying darkness! Marrying Satan! See, it even has Church bells!

BTW: - ACCEPTANCE FOR EVERYBODY IS DISRESPECTFUL TO ISLAM

EoG: - Okay, this is about dancing in the flames and about dying but it's not that offensive...I think.

Government Hooker: - *sound of drooling*

HU: - Love and Freedom are American codewords for the homos-xual and atheist agenda.

Somebody tells them what Pokerface is about: - Don't get turned on now, don't get turned on...

HML: - It's totally working, she's luring us in with her sinful ways! AHHH

Electric Chapel: - Meet me...at Electric Chapel... Can it be more blatantly Christian/Satanic/Disrespectful To Religion?

Bad Kids: - Disobedience towards your elders is not allowed. *strokes beard*

Scheisse: - Feminism! German words! IT'S THE FEMINAZIS!

Bloody Mary: - :deadbanana:

Are they serious? :lmao:

They want to censor her show, and they think it'll "prevent Indonesia from being judged negatively for intolerance"?

And, boos, Gaga would never do that. It's her show. If you want it, I'm sure she'll be delighted to present it to you. But I'm pretty sure Gaga won't accept censorship.

So, middle finger for you :hor:

I'd rather see her not do this concert at all than to gut the whole thing with ridiculous censorship. And you know these people won't accept the small costume concessions she made for Korea; they are gonna want major changes to the outfits and music.

I'd say the only outfit they'd let her use was the one she used during Monster, on the MB.

EDIT: forget it. The legs. It'd have to be longer :flop:

Haha, yeah, the mop costume plus some not-too-tight Hanes sweatpants should be ok.

Isn't the supposed concert over by now? It seems likes it's been several days. I'm not keeping up with the Asian dates too well.

It's on June 3rd, so hasn't happened yet :)

That censorship thing is ridiculous. So they expect her to literally change the whole show just for that one date? **** it, if I were Gaga I'd rather not do the show and change it to a different location or something.

Maybe she should use no makeup too, or cover her entire face just to be sure. And then use this mask: :troll:

I'm sure she is - - and that's the really frightening part. Because for all her nobility and dedication to the 'good fight' - she will definitely be putting herself in harm's way. She will redefine BRAVE if she does go on - but with one stupid thing, the show could have catastrophic results.

Exactly

BigDaddy finally tweets. It's not ending yet.

They mentions that Gaga still wants to do the best show for Indonesian Monsters.

They are still contacting each other to put a show that everyone agreed on.

On permit part, police and the the promoter still on the talk.

And so far, the venue still the GBK stadium.
