Regarding OP: can't say I identify with what you've said fully - I like that Gaga has a social conscience but I also do miss her badass days. And I don't mean "being yourself is the coolest way to be a badass!", I mean Jerry Seinfeld trash talking her for flipping off paparazzi at a baseball game.

She's allowed to grow up, gain experience, change her mind and speak her mind. Crying in every tv appearance is exaggeration. She's always been very emotional and she doesn't need your permission to express herself.

How can one not be willing to spread (at least a bit) more kindness in today's sick world??? It's beyond my understanding... 

I guess some people are truly only focused on themselves and live in their own little bubble.

In the very beginning of her career, Gaga had a completely different attitude. She was badass, careless, and embraced the dominant culture to make it her own. Then, gradually, she started becoming more and more preachy, more and more focused on "social justice" and on "raising awareness" on an ever-increasing number of topics that are more and more unrelatable to me.

Now I am in a situation where I do love Gaga, just like I do love long-time friends, but I dont really see the point in what she's doing, in why she's doing in, and I find it hard to even believe she's completely sincere with what she says about herself.

Is anyone else in the same/a similar situation? How do you cope with it?

you don't have to be kind but it is important that you don't make anybody suffer because you don't want to though..

First of all she doesn't cry everyday in front of cameras, and you probably see vulnerability and being truthful to yourself, in an attempt to inspire the world about real issues that everyday people can have (example mental illness) as a weakness when it's a strength. And it's something that pisses me off, just because somebody is sensitive and choose to bare their soul to the public doesn't mean it's weak? Where does that come from? I think it's pretty weak to think that being badass means to never show any vulnerability ever and always act like everything is alright. Welcome to the real world where human beings can't always have no emotions or no personal problems/breakdowns.

This thread was created in 2016 by a GGD user contradicting your earlier point. And I was talking about Gagadaily as a website. 

Please report any and all replies that doesn't form with the Gagadaily rules and regulations.

I think I am in between. Sometimes I feel like you, but then I convince myself that I shouldn't be so and that I should care more about others and be compassionate.
