She did not have to have Redone.

It could be perceived he wanted to work with her because he saw dollar signs and an easy way to make money because of the ideas for The Fame she had, to make it a pop album that appeals to everyone, remember it was a goal with The Fame to get her name out there so she could infiltrate pop culture with her art. 

And I don't see anyone here disrespecting him, I see a lot of disrespect toward Gaga and Joanne though. Comments about redone aren't disrespect, we just say, why should she constantly be expected to work with him? Why does everyone want those pop records like they have previously made? She can't always be expected to make the same types of album over and over with the same producer.

Also, remember it was Gaga and Rob Fusari who decided to go in the direction of a pop record because Rob felt the record label wouldn't want to sign her with the type of music she wanted to make, she originally wanted to make a rock album, I believe it was described as the female version of The Strokes.
