eNICKma 240 Posted December 18, 2016 Share Posted December 18, 2016 At times when I feel depressed, sad, introverted, spiraling down, or broken hearted I listen to marry the night on loop and always feel better by the third round or so. So I would probably either ask her to sing it to me when I'm upset or just ask her to blast the song and she'd grab my hand and pull me up to dance her choreography next to her. Learning all of her choreography to her music and dancing the steps always makes me feel 10X more connected to her, her music, her messages, and her way of life in general. I always envision when I'm down and out that I am either one of her dancers in her videos next to her, or that we're just dancing Her choreography together in the middle of the NYC streets with all eyes on us. She's the only person so far in my life that has been able to truly make me feel better and make me happy. Through my wrecked marriage, my wounds from childhood that never healed and haunt me everyday, my oppressed self which at many times make me feel like I'm two people, and at times my unmeaningfully self destructive tendencies, all I have to do is put my headphones on and it's almost instantaneous that I feel better, less alone, loved, and understood. It's a feeling of being home and safe. I also have a soothing thought where she acts as a mother to me and we're laying down with both our dogs and and she's running the tips of her claws through my hair while very softly singing my favorite versus from her songs like in the MTN MV where she is coloring her hair in the tub before the music even begins and she's like whisper singing "I wont give up on my life, I'm a warrior queen, live passionately tonight." So my question would come when I feel like those negatives about myself and would be (if she wasn't busy and I wasn't taking up her time).... Will you sing Marry the night to me?
