An example: I was being hated on for my opinions. I made a few posts about how the direction wasn't the best and how the execution of some of the concepts and the way it was filmed and put together wasn't weak. People came at me saying "It's not what you want! You're so selfish! It's a ballad, what did you expect? A meatdress?" And I'm like...uh??? I was expecting a video like what we got. I was pleased by the notion of something this simple and the beautiful message. I'm satisfied with the concept and at heart it's such a beautiful story but the video could have been executed better. I didn't want "TFM Gaga" (honestly my least favorite era unlike seemingly 99% of the fanbase). The theme wasn't the issue. The aesthetic wasn't the issue. The level of grandeur or lack of it wasn't the issue. My criticism was fully constructive but I've been called selfish and uncaring of Gaga's feelings. I love this woman to death and I think it's totally fair to not worship every little thing she does. It's fair game to discuss technical slip ups. I've seen more people being constructive and respectful rather than just hating on the video. And a lot of us are doing it from a place of love because we care so much about the Joanne message and Gaga's life story + healing. Yet everyone is saying these people with these kind of comments are "hating." It's not that, for me at least. I don't want big. I don't need crazy. RAMROD 111,131 Posted December 18, 2016 Share Posted December 18, 2016 Criticism goes along with constructive input or ideas, many these posts on Million Reasons here are not criticism but blatant hate, telling that she is basic now, she is changing now, she is a flop, that she should go back to where she used to be, that she should be someone these people familiar with, all these things are not constructive, but egotistical demands, and super counter productive. To summarize, their threads talk about not becoming a stan anymore, and that Gaga has lose her creative status. Criticism can be harsh but that doesn't make it unfair People will paint contrary opinions as hateful so they don't have to accept that other viewpoints are valid.
