CyanLights 15,576
I don't think there is a problem with the radio friendly aspect to DIC but I doubt it will take off as a single
sipthistea 21,099
If Side To Side made it, why wouldn't DIC?
crackpoppodcast 1,531
Sorry but honestly NO, not radio friendly at all. Little managers think they really know how to manage and then **** like this comes up. Save it for the album fav.
hELXIG 42,958
It's very catchy, but I definitely think the strong sexual undertones would cause too many problems. It's very obvious what the song is about! I don't know if she'd be willing to give something controversial a try this era. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. Gagz 2,579
There are a lot of songs about sex right now, but none about a woman pleasuring herself. It's a bit different, and I think it's a more taboo subject than just sex. Sex is normal on the radio, but masturbation isn't

Because the theme of STS is ambiguous enough that most people had to literally be told what it's about to understand. Anyone with half a brain could figure out that DIC is about Gaga popping her pussay. And the line "riding d.ick bicycles" was changed in the radio edit to "riding b-bicycles" which literally makes the song sound like they're tired from exercising there's no way to censor one word in DIC to make it ambiguous! Masturbation should really be as acceptable, if not more so than sex. But the unfortunate truth is that it isn't, and the GP are stupid idiots and it would cause too many problems with them. Because society is subconsciously sexist Gaga addressed this years ago in that iconic interview where she says "If I were a man grabbing my crotch smoking cigarettes talking about f.ucking hot women you'd call me a rockstar. But because I'm a woman, and I make pop music, you say the sexual references are distracting or innapropriate" or whatever the quote was. It sucks though, because if she were talking about screwing dude in DIC, rather than getting herself off, it'd be 10x more acceptable. I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. blackcoffee 1,264
Yes and no...I like the song, but it is definitely in the bottom of songs I love from Joanne. it definitely has a sound similar to many of the summer hits this past year or so, but I definitely am on the side of many critics that reviewed the song (I remember one saying like it sounded like a trashed No Doubt demo or something...not that that is entirely bad...I LOVE old No Doubt). Unfortunately for Gaga, I have a feeling that by next Spring/Summer, that dancehall sound that was everywhere in 2015/2016 will be a dead fad again, much like that funky disco "Get Lucky" sound was the sound of summer in 2013 and disappeared by the next year. Part of me thinks that it would make a perfect single. I mean, its dominating all the other album tracks on Spotify. But on the other hand, I listen to some parts and the lyrics have me questioning, there's no way the radio would play a bridge like that. But the beat is so catchy and trendy, perfect for Summer. What do you guys think? Can the radio work its way around the sexual references? What if Gaga released a Radio friendly version? And kept the explict one for the album/adults End Racism Now
