The Fame was and still is iconic.

Whether it's Candy Warhol, Pop Music Will Never be Low-Brow, teaching Kathy-Lee how to dance on the Today Show, Her Teacups, VMAs or Boys Boys Boys at a festival....Gaga was EVERYWHERE. She changed not only pop music but all of Hollywood. Everyone jumped on the crazy outfit band wagon, everyone covered Poker Face, Gaga became the enigmatic pop star. She inspired a generation to become lovers, wild free spirits that feast on creativity and indivuality. The Fame might not be "polished" but that was the beauty of The Era, it was the obsession with creating fame, not already having it, it was creating your dreams...Gagavision anyone???

Also TO THIS DAY the Dazed Digital film slays me. The Fame Era, in my opinion, stands on it's own because it was the beginning of a cultural movement. It may not be "the best" Gaga Era but it cannot be compared to an album or an outfit or a video because The Fame was so much more than that. It was TRULY an Era.

Epic, iconic, legendary, once in a liftime, revolutionary and everything

you always see it listed last because many of the original monsters left, and many of them here started to follow gaga since 2013/2014

wow this explains unanswered questions i had. i have been a fan of her since 2008 & only signed up and found the forums on here this year and was suprised at the lack of recognition her beginning got.

the fame-ga was everything to me. i even planned remakes of her costumes and outfits. poker face changed me forever for the better.

it was bc of the fame ga that i got to experience her first revolutionary connection that happend all over the world. (i was in greece & overheard a private moment of someone from there listening to just dance).

oh and i always loved roseland bc it was the perfect seamless grey area between tf tfm and btw & she pulled it the **** off. :golfclap::classy:

It was not bad but she did better after. I really like the "self-made artist" thing, her music, outfits, performances were really raw and fresh, she was having fun. What I don't like from this era are many of the performances, most of the singles were not interesting to sing live (Just Dance, Poker Face... Not in acoustic of course). When I watch them now I find it almost boring and I'm happy she grew to show more of her musician skills. I don't like her persona either - the little blonde almost dumb popstar. Sometimes it's fun but most of the time it's just cringy to watch.
What I really liked in this era was the acoustic performances, she was really having fun and there was something jazzy in the performances. I liked her voice too, drugs gave her a certain timbre, unfortunately it also limited her skills, she couldn't go as high as before.

I remember I lost my virginity like an hour after the guy told me about Gaga.  He played Poker Face and Love Game.  I didn't even know who she was before he told me.

I've always had a thing for the fame, because i wasn't a fan during this era, i would give my life to go back and be at Glastonbury :emma:

I think it depends on who you are.

I am actually, a fan from the The Fame Era, though I only listened to her singles until Telephone, where I bought both albums.

However, I've been active in fandom since then, initiating in fanart, and I was even an important member of one of the larger Gaga guilds on Gaia (Marokia Monster Mondays anyone?)

The Fame has kind of aged and paid dust for many reasons.

The songs haven't aged well outside of a few select choices. The fame, Money Honey, Brown Eyes, and some others kind of sound like relics now. it does not help that Gaga kind of admits she hates Money Honey.

We also like to think that, if Gaga was her best, at her beginning, then we wouldn't have received anything afterwards.

Gaga was also rather unpolished, and there was that weird robo-accent she had?

However, Fame Gaga laid down the foundation for everything afterwards, even for her to tear down that said foundation and rebuild it in Joanne.

However, despite it being her foundation, you honestly hope your beginning is not your best. It's scary to think that, after everything you do, you've only gotten worse.

I don't like the album. The videos look the same. I only really like the singles plus Starstruck and Brown Eyes. It was a good for a debut. Joanne era >>>> The Fame & The Fame Monster era

TF era will probably always be my favourite. It was incredible to watch her rise to super stardom. The looks were the best. And she had such a fire back then.

Because it's in no way superior to the work that soon followed and overshadowed it, Born This Way.

The only songs from the TF that I listen to are the singles + The Fame (title track). Rest of it just sounds aged and summerboy is kinda cringy

I didn't like TF era :laughga: It was "meh" to me, but I liked Paparazzi :lolly: a lot. I fell in love with Gaga with BTW :derpga:

English isn’t my first language, so please excuse any mistakes

Sometimes it's good to remind yourself how perfect, innovative and strong she was during TF-TFM eras, before, you know, the catastrophes with hip and ARTPOP. Do you guys remember this?

I came aboard the Gaga train at the end of BTW and begining of ARTPOP, so around 2012/13. Her voice has evolved so much and although there are so many bops on TF/TFM I woud have to say that the later eras have been better. I prefer her voice now than what it was back then

Government Hooker, Americano, Black Jesus+Amen Fashion, Bad Kids, Fashion of His Love, Highway Unicorn, Electric Chapel, The Queen, Bloody Mary, Heavy Metal Lover, Hair.

All filler.

So yea, 12 fillers.

That doesn't mean some of them aren't good, ie Bloody Mary, HML, Hair, but they're filler nonetheless

I totally agree...any song that would not make a good single is what i consider a filler.
