xoxo Craig 55,649
So we already know that David Bowie has had a major influence of Gaga. We see this in all of her work, and perhaps the reason why we see so many artistic evolutions from the different eras. But there is more than just art or song influences that Gaga and Bowie share. And thats the fans. Take a look at the LQ clip of Gaga talking about Bowie's fans on the HS Show in 2011 : I'm sure some of you have seen this before. This was in 2011, fast forward to 2016 and can see the exact same thing happen. Now, Gaga hasn't dropped "Lady Gaga" and I dont think she will ever drop that name. But right now her fans are leaving her, going crazy and all sorts because she has gone/going through a new artistic transformation. Many of you want the "Old Gaga back". This era is a really pure era, we see Gaga in a different light to what have seen before. She is connecting with us on a different level. It is going to be stripped back, the music videos are going to be more basic. But as Gaga fans, shouldnt you be respecting it? Of course you are allowed to dislike something! But when the hate is coming from the fan base and not the GP, doesnt that tell you something? I'm not asking you to like what she does, but to respect her and her creative direction. This is only a creative rebirth. The MR MV received more hate from this fanbase than the GP. I personally love the music video and cant wait to see the next installment of Joanne End Racism Now

Well, it's telling me that she gave up on doing what her fans like. The general public didn't like Marry The Night and thought she was over the top and attention seeking, but all of us knew that it was her most personal music video (also her best ;-)) ever. If the GP can't comprehend Gaga it is their fault and Gaga shouldn't make it more basic for them to understand it.

This is all about her, she is making music for herself and doing what makes her happy. This era is her most personal yet. Its so authentic and honest. Just wait cause I think we may see her best MV come from this era End Racism Now

That doesn't seem like a good thing As a celebrity (especially at the level Gaga is), not meeting your idol or him not talking about you while he was alive, feels like an omen. Especially since his influence and inspiration on Gaga was so prevalent. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. metalguru 1,553
Bowie has horrible videos during the 80's too. But Gaga needs to stop dropping his name because she is not trying to be frontier again. Million Reasons video and Bowie references are not matching anymore.
