She should feel honored that some fans think she can do better than that.

Some fans as in MANY fans

If she cared at all what the fans thought, this era would have never happened. :giggle:

(Don't mistake that comment for me defending this era because I'm not. I hate it.)

I hope she is seeing how many people love the music. The only downfall, in my opinion, to this Era is that she stripped herself down TOO MUCH. She needs to focus on the visuals as well - she isn't a folk singer - people crave cinematic imagery with pop music. Marry The Night was incredibly raw and personal but she kept the visuals as a key part of it all. Gaga knows how to create striking performances and looks but I think she's let the pendulum swing too far towards minimalism that it's verging on boring. I hope the good critics drown out the haters because she doesn't deserve to feel bad about anything she's created. She's being rebellious by not being "Gaga" but I also think that her trying so hard to be the opposite of what the GP expected of her is making her lose touch of who she truly is. Yes, you can argue that she's changed and she is happy where she's at, but as a person who has gone through a lot of personal transformation themselves I can honestly say it's easier to shoot for extremes than finding your footing in reality.

tl;dr

I think she feels hurt, but I love her and hope this MV reaction gets her a new perspective

I'm not actually, I stopped having high expectations for anything that Gaga does. This way, when something goes well, it's a pleasant surprise and if I don't like something, I simply don't care lol

I think that's the best way to live in general to be honest. I hope people will take notes. :golfclap:

Yeah that but I decided to put some instead of many or just fans, to avoid replies like: "The video is good" or The general public likes the video" or "speak for yourself i like the video" etc...

This is actually an extremely well thought out post and deserves praise. Slay a bit and welcome to this cult site. :golfclap:

Hurt most likely, she has moved on and most of her fans still want the spectacle from her beginnings. Gaga looks up to most types of artists that are fluid in their evolution, but I notice that most audiences these days do not appreciate that sort of artistry and that they want more of the same that they first fell in love with, so it gets harder and harder to find an audience that will grow with you. It happens to the best of them though.

Gaga has changed with every level of album since her start and I believe that she may just be an artist who is defined by this aesthetic.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
