I answered 'No', because it wasn't worth the wait. I am glad Gaga is keeping with her Joanne character and what she has set-up for this era, but it's not a video which i would call 'worth waiting for'. Do i dislike it? No, mainly because i know that this comes from an artist extremely capable of giving us spectacular music videos when she wants to. Watching this, you know this was deliberately unscripted and rough. In the same way that the cover image for Joanne itself is not touched up, with normal 'dull' lighting and not much editing, which is how photos would look if you take them with a camera and just use them as they are.

So while i am not a big fan of the music videos and some of the visuals of this era, i respect Gaga's resistance to 'glam up' her productions just to please people. She has been saying from the beginning that this album, and era, was about her as a person, Gaga the human not the superstar. It takes guts for someone of her magnitude to strip her visuals and music down to their core, despite what that may do to her status and how the fans will receive it. That's what a true artist does. Joanne is the exact opposite of TFM/ARTPOP.

I do love how all her live performances of MR show Gaga the 'star' while her music video shows Gaga 'behind the scenes'. It's a very bold move, one which most people may not appreciate or care for, but just as when during the BTW and TFM eras she didn't care about looking 'unattractive' (it was deliberate) or if people thought she was a man or a Drag Queen, this is the essence of her performance and style.

I won't lie when i say i do hope we get more 'flamboyant' and 'big production' music videos from her in subsequent eras,  but i have enjoyed the journey so far so i am a happy fan :)

I also have a sneak suspicion that she might deliver the biggest-budget music video of this era for the last single. Again, in keeping with her 'reverse' styling so far.

Yes, because for the first time ever Gaga delivered exactly what she promised. :ladyhaha:

While I haven't been impressed by a lot of Madonna's music videos for years, her music video for the melancholic ballad Ghosttown is visually stunning.  The attention to detail is perfection.  The set design is artistic.  No one asked for hard choreography  in the video Million Reasons.   The artistry just isn't there in the music video for Million Reasons.    It's not horrible, just kind of forgettable.  A great music video can elevate a song or enhance it, even a ballad, give it a different dimension.

I'm with you that the video can be better but Gaga is used to dance music this is like her first time to do a ballad so the video was strange to her.

The video is worse than the G.U.Y. video.

Mrs. Caca's career found dead in a ditch, re-evaluation process started.

I've only seen it once and don't plan to watch it ever again. I would rather lick Trump's face than watch this video again. :neyde:

I'm curious, if Gaga went for A-YO as the second single, how would she have connected it to the Perfect Illusion video? I mean A-YO is not a sad ballad, so it would have been odd if she was being sad in it etc. I still hope that by video #2 or #3 that she will find her strength (in the context of her Joanne era persona) and give us a high-octane music video which might connect to a new EP. At first i didn't think having a new EP would be wise, but now seeing how the music videos for Joanne are done, i don't see how she will keep excitement throughout the whole era.

start a  change.org petition for making john wayne or DIC the 3rd single and to buckle up the theatrics and slayage otherwise no one's gonna watch this year's superbowl. i'm mad at gaga, we're not fake fans, we care about her as an artist.
