Thoughts on the 3rd Single?

Million Reasons is finally blowing up like we had all hoped and knew it would and seems like it's about to be a legit big hit from Joanne. I think the reason Perfect Illusion flopped and Million Reasons is blowing up (besides the lack of promo) is because the GP is wanting something different from Gaga. Something honest and real and they want to hear her real talent like she's showcased at the Oscar's so many times. So I know alot of people have different opinions on the third single. Most expect it will be "A-YO", some want "Dancin' in the Circles" to be the next generic dance hit, or "Diamond Heart" to perform like "Perfect Illusion" should have (Diamond Heart should have been the lead single in my opinion) but the public is craving something real from Gaga and my theory is that the third single should be "Come to Mama". It's too soon to release another ballad like "Joanne" and the club bangers aren't gonna work for this cycle (i.e. John Wayne) but "Come to Mama" has the honest authentic feel, the lyrics are about healing and bringing the world together despite are differences and other songs along the same style have been pretty successful recently (anything by Meghan Trainor or "Love on the Brain" by Rihanna) so instead of releasing a meaningless bop like AYO or Dancin in the Circles, i think she should continue the honest, emotional, & personal single choices. What do ya'll think?

I'd say it's going to be Ayo. Mainly as it was supposed to be the 2nd single and it's Gaga's fav song. Commercially, I would suggest Dancing in Circles. There aren't many typical "single" type songs on joanne so the choices are a bit limited.

 

Also, I wouldn't say PI flopped. It was still a top twenty hit. It just didn't have longevity.

I've played the album for my friends who have no real love but no bias against Gaga either and the only song most of them really connected with or liked on first listen was Hey Girl. Some of them going as far as buying it afterwards. 

I think it could do really well if performed at the Super Bowl. It has a cool modern feel with some throw back elements..

i'd actually really love for Hey Girl to be the single, just fearful the radio wouldn't get behind it but the video would slay me

Diamond Heart screams Super Bowl halftime show to me! I'm just afraid it would perform along the lines of Perfect Illusion.

I'm still going with A-YO. It's obvious she loves the song, and she was already doing some promo for it until MR hit it big after the Carpool Karaoke. 

Dancin' In Circles though, would be great, commercially speaking, in my opinion. It sounds most like her old music, and it sounds most like today's music.

all Joanne songs could be singles for me at this point, I just don't know. She never did the kind of albums from popstars with four obvious hits and some fillers, with Gaga it always has been real good whole albums and Joanne's the same...

Well, it's most likely going to be released around February. If Gaga and her team are smart, they will release the video for the third single during the superbowl.

I feel it might be too early for Dancin' in Circles. That will probably be released around May as the fourth single. 

I feel the third single will either be A-YO (original second single), John Wayne (good fun vibe for the Americans), or Angel Down (to make a statement)

Dancin in circles should really be a summer single. The only reason it shouldn't be released as third single is it would cause too much controversy if she performs it during super bowl. 

I say Ayo probably works the best, it's pretty Gp friendly

CTM is good, but it's simply just not good enough to grab attention and be played on radio ImO

I think A-Yo is the biggest potential hit on Joanne so I wouldn't mind that but I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Diamond Heart so I would be happy with that choice as well.
