I never saw that rumor, but if the idea was that she'd use the real Moon as a projection screen? Then you should know, that's beyond the capabilities of the human race.

Realize that, when you see the lit side of the Moon, you're looking at the reflected light of the Sun. Think about how much light that is. Think about the energy behind it. What we could do? We could blow up a hydrogen bomb on the Moon... and you'd maybe see it as a tiny dot of light. If that.

Any light source we could project from Earth would diffuse out to imperceptibility long before it could reflect back to us.
