In the legend of Bloody Mary, you need to say her name three times and she appears to scare you. What Honestly, all of her backing vocals and instrumentals are PERFECTION and y'all are making it more apparent in this thread . ooo 407
2 hours ago, A Gaga Lad said: Her lyrical references to her other songs/bodies of work. It makes everything seem connected and more cohesive. Her layered lyrics (i.e., Bad Romance bridge had like 3 or 4 different lyrics upon lyrics). yes this!! i LOVE all her unreleased songs that have lyrics that reference other songs. its like getting to know another chapter of the story she was writing. the best is poker face/blueberry kisses/let love down/brown eyes/again again, to me. (they all reference one or the other)
Yo GagaGaga 6,541
It took me so long to notice this, but the background vocals on the Boys Boys Boys chorus, when she's like "ooooooh" "oooooh" its heavenly. Its most noticeable in the last chorus as the song is fading. When she says "1 2 3" at the beginning of Summerboy The "yuh hah" in the chorus of Paparazzi Her nasally voice when she talks during any song on The Fame When she sings Speechless live and she goes "And I'll never talk again, oh, and I'll never love again, oh" Her voice right after Beyoncé sings in Telephone At the end of Government Hooker when she sort of screams/moans/says yeah after he says Get Down How the instrumental stops and she holds out the note right before the Chorus in Yoü and I (Also everything everyone else said about Yoü and I, I love Yoü and I) The way she says "Enigma Popstar is fun she wears Burqa for Fashion" in Aura The echo of " Of This Love" right before the chorus in G.U.Y. Everything about the Bridge to Mary Jane Holland The A-R-T-P-O-P at the end of Applause The Dope vocals (fight me) The soft "Young Wild American, Come On Baby Do you Have a Girlfriend?" right after the harsh vocals in ONE FIVE TEN LAY A MILLION ON in Diamond Heart Her vocals in the chorus of Joanne Something about the way she says "Psychic Guru catches minos in the harbor" in Come To Mama Her soft voice at the end of Angel Down, and the reversed vocal effect that plays throughout the chorus
Oriane 21,152
I noticed she liked to end a song by starting again with the first verse (No Floods, Yoü and I, and Born this Way in acoustic version). I like it rough : I don't like this song very much but I like her background vocals "Yeaaaah you got meee oooh wondering whyyy". She did this type of vocals very often during the Fame era, I liked it a lot. Beautiful Dirty Rich : How she ends the sentences "moneyy" with a raspy/sexy voice (like she does in A-YO "blow it in you face". The Fame : How she goes into the lowest notes in the verses "All we care... about iiis". Bad Romance : The bridge and how she keeps on screaming "WANT YOUR BAD ROMANCE" at the end. Dance in the Dark : The iconic "d-d-d-duh duh" at the beginning. And the whole intro. Teeth : Her "huh-ah-ah-ah-ah" throughout the song, she did/does it often live, I love it. Marry the Night : The church bells, and "the niiiiiight" at the end. Governement Hooker : The intro. Hair : The bridge with the "I'm my hai-ai-ai-air !". ScheiBe : The "ow" she does in Black Jesus too, sounds like a monsterish Michael Jackson. Bloody Mary : How she pronounces the words in a theatrical/ghostly way "rewrite the agro of my furied heart". Heavy Metal Lover : The chorus is absolutely fantastic but when it starts again just after the bridge, with the rising instrumental... Yoü and I : From the bridge, when she's taking it into another level and keeps on singing "Yoüüüü and IIII Nebraska I'd rather diiiiie Nebraska Nesbraska" with rock vibes. The Edge of Glory : The intro, and the saxo part. Venus : The post-chorus "Looooooooove" is just heavenly with all the background vocals. Swine : What I call the metal screaming/singing in the chorus. Fashion! : "I own the wooooorld We own the wooooorld" Mary Jane Holland : The theatrical vocals. Dope : The vocals, fight me, like the fan above me said. Diamond Heart : The first notes of the instrumental killed me the first time and will kill me forever. Also the melody of the chorus, you think it's going to end on "dia" but she starts again with "mooooond". And the way she ends the chorus "Diamond... Heart." A-YO : In the second post-chorus, how she sings "Mirror on the CEI-ling", I don't know how she does that. John Wayne : Is it even necessary to mention the intro ? Perfect Illusion : The last part, fight me, it's the best part of the song. Sinner's Prayer : The melody on "I get on my knees and beg you". And the bass line (I suppose), I've loved it since I heard it on the Dive Bar tour. Angel Down : That note on "By the church where we used to MEET". Just Another Day : The "pa la pa pa pa" at the end, iconic and remind me of her early work. And her raspy voice on Joanne in general, how it displays some emotions, for example in Diamond Heart when she says "Wrecked all my innocence". Guest
I live for the high guitar pitch in the intro of Perfect Illusion - it grabs you instantly and unapologetically Spoiler not to forget: the spit-"fart" sound Spoiler The "huh" after "Heeere we gooo!" in A-YO is so cute. generally the guitar-solo in A-YO is so iconic. Especially a certain chord in that part is eargasmic: where the guitar kinda breaks-down and Gaga "huh"'s again subsequently with more power supported by a backing vocal. It's after 02:10. ugh! there are so many of those small special moments when you listen to her music .

MiddleZone 292
Very random and small but the one thing that sticks out in the midst of my current adoration for Government Hooker is that squeaky which says 'ay mi papito!' right before the second 'as long as I'm your hooker.'
