MEDONER 1,676
I don't care, I still love ARTPOP and always will. Even though the era was cut short I enjoyed it a lot, also the artRave was amazing. I just wished it lasted longer because everything about it was flawless. Decodekid 28,155
People focused on the messy promo rather than enjoy the album, it was a good era, it wasn't perfect but the music was fantastic Long Live Gretchen

LUO YI 6,089
You can say whatever you want. The reason I dislike it is how she dared to release such bad songs like Donatella. It didn't have an actual thing happening. There were too many things going on to say what it is about or what message she wants to tell us. It sounds like a bunch of silly bops, with it's exceptions. The recycled beats... She lost me with those. The night sky tells all

KURUSHITOVSKA 20,451
You don't work with the current queen of music and offer her an instrumental from 2 years ago, and that happened 3 times on ARTPOP (Donatella, MJH), Aura was also recycled but Gaga turned it into a masterpiece (the demo is better). the best on the album is by DJWS (Quality wise imo). The songs were amazing but she had better options and new/orignally made for the album. Brooklyn Nights, Princess Die, TEA, Onion Girl, Temple. ¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula? Vergil 2,296
I loved the start of the era. For me it wasn't a bad album, just some songs didn't fit into the theme of ARTPOP. Btw, I never liked Gypsy. EDIT: And Princess Die should have been on the album. "The demise of the artist" Oh I love it.

It could've been like Edge of Glory, but the album version feels like recorded as slow and then made uptempo and faster. ¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula? imnotyourbabe10 6,100
It was a memorable era (the first one I spent lurking GGD before joining). But the "chaos" or lack of cohesion (in general) are, to me, what made it so memorable. I've always loved Gaga because of her "queering" pop music and AP did just that (still stanning for J&D ). It was all over the place in a good way, I'd think...for example, take Donatella (although she is friends with her, right?) is a great parody of those at the top ("I'm a rich bitch, I'm the upper class"); J&D (and Cake) introduced us to her rap side; MJH; Aura; Swine (esp. the SXSW performance art). It's a favorite for me just behind TFM. She's always iconic, to be clear. It is too bad that AP didn't get reception of the rad. queer/outlandish/experimental "reverse warholian expedition" that it is (and I'm afraid that the current global climate of conservativism makes it impossible to deliver...but nonetheless important for radical art). [The Fame is an amazing record, too, critiquing what it means to be famous...and BTW is cohesive with a brilliant message of radical acceptance...and Joanne is so "analog"? lol...love Joanne]. Sorry...just trying to support all of her records in one post! And have had some wine? Where are my "sauvignon blanc girls"?
