Why do people hate Beyonce and Lemonade?

I actually genuinely think Lemonade is a bad album. Stylistically it's all over the place in a bad way, she says she is a feminist but men write her music, she is one of VERY few musicians to play in North Carolina despite their assault on trans people (trans women...). A feminist she is NOT. I don't buy into the hype and I hate that she is the standard for going viral. She has a good voice, better than most pop girls, but the dancing and the performances remind me of and Britney Vegas show.... someone told her told do it so she did it. Also her ENTIRE persona is a facade. The fake scorned black woman act that she put on really did not cut it for me. It was a nifty marketing scheme that someone else thought up. She actually irks me on so many levels and it's really sad because I used to love her.

I used to love her but she became this pretentious thing that i can not stand anymore. Both Bey and Lemonade are the definition of overrated. Lemonade is not a bad album but it is certainly not that great.

Exactly. I like her, but I don't think she's phenomenal. She's not as special as people think, at least in my opinion. All the praise doesn't meet my expectations. I'm often disappointed with her stuff because people praise her so much. I feel like I don't get to choose what I like and what I don't.

I used to be a huge fan of Beyonce' but I'm sooo sick of people/media treating her like an impeccable goddess  .Her imagery is seeming to be so superficial to me.Everything she does is praised to the highest degree and i don't think she deserves all this praise.I mean,she's the most  nominated female artist in the Grammy history.Does she deserves this?No.she can't even write her own songs .She attends an award show and it's all about Beyonce'. She did this.She did that.Bitch please.give me a break  

I still listen to her songs,watch her videos but it's not the same as it was before

You can't blame someone for being overrated though. It's the media that builds up or breaks down someone. She built her empire and did a fantastic job at it. Not liking her stuff is okay. Not everyone will like the same music. But that shouldn't take away from the fact the she puts every modern performer out there to shame when she's on stage. So hating her because PEOPLE thinks she's a goddess makes no sense. That's not her fault. She's a perfectionist and she gets praise for such. I do agree with you on her not able to write her own songs though. But, she hides it with her talent to sing and perform.

I actually disliked everything about Beyoncé's music until Lemonade. It's amazing. Her previous work is boring.

That said, I dislike Beyoncé as a person. She never aknowledges her fanbase. She is constantly in some shitty drama, that she makes up herself. She has no connection to her fans.
