Lemonade is so boring album to listen to.... beyonce new mv sucks.. not hating her but she is just awful artist. Only and only true artists NOW are - LADY GAGA , ADELE, SIA .. hands down

If you read everything I said throughout this thread, you'll see I said in another post that it's okay to not like her music. However to dislike her because of the hype the media gives her makes you stupid. And yes, some people do hate her because they think because she's black, she's sort of more inclined to be praised more than her white counterparts. She was dragged to the pits of hell when she did the superbowl this year but you wouldn't know that because you don't like her.

I think Beyoncé is one of the best performers of our generation, but the constant praise she gets, gets on my nerves. People act as if she's the queen of the universe and shits gold. Also, imo, she does a lot of the same things over and over again and can appear to be very arrogant.

It's good to be humble as well. Something about calling yourself "queen" is just cringy to me.

This fanbase doesn't like Beyoncé or lemonade because it's popular. I've said it before, Monsters feel that Gaga should be hailed as high as Beyoncé and that's just not how it is. When Beyoncé performs and kills it, they will hate yet say Britney killed her vma performance. It's jealousy mixed with immaturity. Beyoncé works so hard and gets better every time she performs but it's always "over rated" because is Beyoncé. No one performs like her, not Rihanna not Adele and not Gaga. Beyoncé is just loved by majority and doesn't have to prove herself. Gaga seems to have to win the GP. Lemonade is crafted very well, performed well and is visually amazing. 25 is 21 remixed. Adele is great but Beyoncé owned 2016.

Your post pertained solely to how people don't like Beyoncé because she's black, but at least you cleared that up.

Beyonce really started to annoy me with her Lemonade era. Here's why:

1.) She literally stole the show from Coldplay at the Super Bowl. She was invited as a guest and decided to upstage the entire performance by doing something extremely political and controversial. There's a time and place to make a statement, but not as a GUEST performer at one of the most honorable places to perform. It was an extremely arrogant, selfish, and entitled thing to do.

2.) Continuing from point #1, Beyonce, her team, and her fans have been acting so arrogant and entitled with this whole era. We are told that Lemonade is one of the most artistic and iconic releases this year, instead of being shown to feel it. Kanye's spill of the VMA Video of the Year threat/bribe proves this.

3.) Because the album is political and supports BLM and black culture, if you don't like the album you are told you must not like it because A) you don't support black people and/or BLM, or B.) you are not black so you can't connect/identify with it - so your opinion matters less because you are incapable of realizing the masterpiece this era/album is because you are not black. Sadly, this is the same attitude/issues we have with recent political movements and it got carried over to this album because of it's political messages.

First of all the racism claims are just complete ignorance. Again, it has nothing to do with her being black. Tons of black people think she's overrated, including myself. Everyone praises Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar when they get nominated. A lot people loved Starboy by The Weeknd and hope it gets nominated in 2018. And people here seem to like Rihanna more than Beyonce. So y'all can just shut that down.

Second, I guess all little monsters have to have the same music taste and if we dislike/hate something that's popular/praised, it must mean we are jealous.  Ok no that's wrong again. Majority of opinions on Beyonce have come from us checking out her work, music, and performances and evaluating it. I've listened  BEYONCE and Lemonade, liked 4 tracks off the former and 7 tracks off the latter and it's even less with her older albums; hence why I think she's overrated.

Lemonade is a really good album and the 1st Beyonce album I'd be willing to buy; but is it the best album of year? No. Does it deserve AOTY? No.
