Just as much you are allowed to believe that it's a good and "important" album, which seems like a total joke to me. Allow people to have an opinion even if it's different than yours. I don't think the part "Had it been Gaga who released that album, you would be praising it to heaven" is true, Gaga has received/still receives enough criticism from her own fanbase. Of course you are allowed to dislike it, where did I imply you are not? I'm just asking why. I'm just honestly curious because you do not criticize the music, you just call it "a total joke". Otherwise the same argument could be said for Rihanna, Drake, and Kanye when no one nearly calls them overrated or dislikes them to extent of Beyonce. Pablo 7,768
Jealousy They wish Gaga could be so critically acclaimed after being in the spotlight since the late 90's. Beyonce has the talent to curate great albums after leaving her father in the dusk when she started managing herself. She has the singing, dancing, and performing talent too. Addison Rae 16,470
I love Beyoncé and all of her music but I deadass get attacked on Twitter for stanning Gaga and other artists by other BeyHive members some of them literally live through her success so they can provide "receipts" to randomly drag other stans too it's so tragic not to mention that I've seen some stans call everyone that isn't Beyonce a flop and just mindlessly bash everyone else to make her look better... For most people on the forum I think it's just the overbearing stans on Twitter tbh. sitting on his lap sipping diet pepsi
PunkTheFunk 124,390
The work she puts out doesn't feel like its genuinely hers. She supervises a team of 59 writers to put together an album for her and then adds some final touches and a word or two and wins 20 Grammys Which doesn't feel fair to me. And everyone treats her like a genius. As if she had thought up Lemonade all by herself. Idk. I can't hear her own artistic voice through her work, and so it all just comes off as a bit artificial to me. (This is exactly why I stan so hard for Gaga -- she's the antithesis of the manufactured, perfectly choregraphed popstar. And you can hear Gaga's own artistic voice loud and clear in everything she does.) Don't get me wrong though, I still think Beyonce's incredibly talented. And I would argue that she's one of the greatest musical performers of all time (see VMA's 2016. My hair still hasn't grown back )

The best thing in life is to listen to other opinions but respectfully disagree and move on. If you get so upset about this, just wait until the real world hits you. What matters is the music, and it speaks for itself. That argument makes no sense, especially when much of this fanbase loves popstars like Britney. I am a member of this fanbase and I don't respect someone who has to hire such a huge team to create everything. From her music, to her visuals, to her fashion, it just is all bought for her. I respect her as a performance artist though, she has incredible talent on stage and stamina, one of a kind and one of the greatest performers of our time. I haven't seen her live in person because I don't have that kind of money and when I do save up I prefer to see artists that I love, but I know seeing her would be fantastic. It makes me uncomfortable when she is getting awards and praise under her name for the music and videos, it has no soul or personality, its too contrived imo. You don't need to read the label and see that she has so many writers and producers, its obvious when you listen to it, and her voice is always hitting the notes but not giving anything to dig into, its just so plastic and perfected. I think its most obvious how soulless her music and performances are when you compare her to other greats like Tina Turner. Tina didn't write all her music, but her voice was ALIVE, and she was so authentic. I like artists who get on a stage or in the studio and are in the moment, and that's what I think Beyonce somehow lacks? I always loved this performance, the skirt ripping wasn't planned and afterwards all she said was "that's rock n roll". Beyonce kind of reminds me of a pageant girl in a way, everything is so rehearsed. This is ALL of course my own opinion, there are many people who are going to hear something completely different because defining soul and personality is completely objective. I think hate is too strong of a word, its immature, but I just can't ever feel anything special from her. I enjoyed watching Lemonade, but I didn't like I was watching anything beautiful or getting any kind of insight about BEYONCE, it just felt like a well made visual. I thought the spoken interludes were awkward as well, if you watch her in interviews there is no way that that poetry comes from her.
