Wait, Electoral College members don't have an age restriction as long as you're an adult? If that's the case, then some of those teenage electors for Trump are so brainwashed by conservative rhetoric that it's a shame such individuals are allowed to even vote for the President of the United States. There's probably more of these teenage electors than those such as the one being discussed in that article, and I find it absolutely horrendous that when youth are given the power, many of them will think for themselves before they think of others

I mean, being brainwashed by conservatives is a lot different then being brainwashed by liberals if that's what you mean by the contrary. Sure, liberals will probably teach their kids to hate people like Bush and Trump, but these kids are probably already going to see the effects or result of the campaigns or presidencies of such individuals and they didn't even need their parents to tell them. Sure, sensationalized media presents these kids with a highly exaggerated form of what to expect from candidates, but, come on, how are you really going to get through to youth when your campaign was built on xenophobia, Islamophobia, sexism, etc.

Also, let's be real here, many conservatives hate on policies that affect a diverse group of people based on varied socioeconomic backgrounds because they feel as if certain groups are, in a sense, un-American or not deserving, or that such conservatives are not being included in these policies and programs, when in reality they are, mostly the impoverished ones who are pretty much thrown under the bus for the sake of a presidential nomination and win. Liberals, on the other hand, are more apt to disagree with policies that affect a specific group or groups of people whilst harming or neglecting others in the process. This seems to be a case of pineapples and oranges; there is obviously a side which instigates more hate and disgust than the other which promotes more inclusion rather than exclusion

This. It's easy to fall into the trap of a false binary... both parties have problems ideologically, but the gaps between the twos positions are so far that its hard to say that they are both "Equally" bad unless you live in a world where the "bad" is negligible because it doesn't affect you. Either that or you aren't concerned about the well being of all people in your country, just the ones that you think deserve it.

Republicans in America demonstrably make policies that work against the interests of several specific groups of people and then say that they just need to stop being so lazy and lift themselves out of poverty, oppression does not exist, and that they need to stop being victims (while victimizing them at the same time) It's just the truth
