So as we like to think, Before Joanne, LG5 was completely different and then Bowie died and she changed a lot of it. I saw on Twitter and Instagram a video of Gaga saying she wrote the song and played it for Taylor, so this was when they were still together. Now I know they broke up after Bowie passed so she could have changed it to Joanne by then, but the song sounds quite different from the rest of the album.
