I believe both American Life and Born This Way were experimental and great. Both albums impacted pop culture in their different ways. Although, when comparing both albums, the statement each album was trying to make is different than the other.

American Life was made for the 2000's generation, while Born This Way was made for the 2010's. What do you think? :flutter:

Yup! but American Life was released in such a hard moment, in America and the rest of the world, and the sound was already super experimental. I mean, it was 2003, pop was super Baby One More Time, when Born This Way was released, electropop was already stablished

The thing was that he said that Gaga is the first in the 21st century. No one denies that BTW was experimental and had influence but it's definitely not the first album from the 21st century to do so.

Everyone was doing a throwback to the 80s by then lol. Britney, Katy, Kanye, Beyoncé. Even Gaga did it before BTW.
