The song have proven to be successful when properly promoted as it reached #1 on iTunes when Gaga sung it on Carpool Karaoke and It is currently rising with green updates (#27 on iTunes) due to the AMA performance. Now, Radio has been lacking in support for the song, but it is also currently rising with a +1 update (currently #41). So will Million Reasons end up being a hit? I feel like Gaga won't have any big hits unless she starts making music that sounds like everything currently on the radio. And I don't want that at all. It could do better than PI though, who knows? I mean, the fact that it shot to #1 with just the Carpool Karaoke promo—I know, there were others, but CP's what made it get to #1—is pretty spectacular. The song itself is good, I love it, and honestly, at first I wasn't into it, but after last night's performance, I think it finally clicked for me. If she continues to promote it and perform it, I don't see why it wouldn't be a big hit. It's a relatable song, and during this time of year, because it's a ballad, it's nice. I was hoping for a sleeper hit but I don't know anymore. But then again, tales from my arse. Gaga and her team need to hurry up with the music video though.
