giskardsb 12,565
I pretty much could have written this exact article. Ā Modern commercial music is in the worst state it's ever been. http://www.showbiz411.com/2016/11/21/sting-lady-gaga-save-interminable-american-music-awards-salute-to-junk-pop-and-commercialism Quote Thank god for Sting and Lady Gaga. Other than their performances, and a couple of interesting moments, the American Music Awards would have been a total visit to junkland. Lady Gagaās simple and elegant performance of āMillion Reasonsā was a relief after what seemed like hours of terrible production values and presentations of crap pop so disposable itās already gone down the sink drain. āMillion Reasonsā was direct and plaintive, and genuine. A shock. Stingās Merit Award copped him a three song medleyā and they were without a doubt the best songs of the evening, and not just because there were almost no other songs. āI Canāt Stop Thinking About You,ā āMessage in a Bottle,ā and āEvery Breath You Takeā must have seemed like a shock to the people in the theaterā they could sing along, the songs were actually composed, and the second two have lasted 30 and 40 years. Amazing. Go out and get Stingās ā57th and 9thā or Gagaās āJoanne.ā Shocking. Ā and I could not agree more with this statement.... Quote Finally: what to do about Ariana Grande? She has a great voice. Sheās wasting it on crap. No one will ever remember these ārecordsā or whatever they are. She has to put her voice to some better purpose.

GagaMyBlood95 9,808
So true, very good article! I hope Ariana starts making some more decisions towards a more serious note to her career other than just bubble gum pop because she is simply better than that! (Just a Little Bit of Your Heart is a good example). Gaga, Sting and 21 Pilots had the best performances imo. The Weeknd wasn't bad either, but the song itself is really good, the performance was nothing special obviously.

ilocorB 547
I agree, most of the performances were basic and made me nostalgious of a time where music was better.Ā Green Day was really good and was refreshing to watch too. Rap, hip hop and pop have replaced my beloved punk rock so much and I am so fed up with those kinds of music without any instruments and talent...Ā Ā Green Day does not care about trends, they make music that they love and they give their 100% and are not scared to speak out (no trump no kkk no facist usa or when they sang American Idiot on tv)
RAMROD 98,663
I am still bothered by how bad the presenters are esp the SNLĀ guy, I suffer mental loss from this, I am gonna sue!Ā (ļ¾āć®ā)ļ¾ā§*:ļ½„ļ¾ AND I'M VICTORIA, MALCOLM! pedrohemg 7,802
The guy who write all the articles to this site says good things about Gaga but he's obsessed with charts and sometimes I had to correct him through twitter. Joanne stayed on #1 Itunes US for two weeks but when it started to lose positions he wrote an article saying the album was in freefall. So I stopped reading his articles.
