Like wtf is that sound

The mastering is really bad.

What sound? all I hear is depth in the production. Those claps/taps do you mean? it adds to the song how is that a negative?

There's nothin' wrong with lovin' who you are
She said, 'cause He made you perfect, babe

&

I'm beautiful in my way 'cause God makes no mistake."

&

Believe capital H-I-M

Ruined this otherwise amazing empowerment anthem for me. I mean who said that He made me? And that is the reason I'm perfect and should love myself? Who is He, anyway? Why do I have to believe H-I-M?

I know you asked for one small thing but this has turned into a bit of a rant because I forgot what the topic was half way. :toofunny:

The whole of Eh Eh. "All I can say is eh eh" :toofunny:

I feel like the whole of Million Reasons is so totally uninspired. The worn out leather line sounds like a cheap trick to sound unique to replace the cliché "stormy weather" line that a lot of artists over use. She posted on Instagram recently and said "can't you give me what I'm needing?" and I was like shouldn't it be can? because with the word can't she's telling him not to give her what she's needing.

I don't like the "dat do de do" lyric in John Wayne. I love that part in the song but it should have remained an unfinished song until she came up with a better lyric. The same goes for Bloody Mary and the "dum dum da de da" bit. I hate the "rum pum pum pum" lyric in The Queen too.

I don't like how she shouts some parts in Diamond Heart and doesn't enunciate the words clearly enough.

I feel bad because it looks like I'm ripping Gaga to shreds but I just hate lazy song writing.

"Can't you give me what I'm needing" and "can you give me what I'm needing" are the same thing though.

She could say "wont you give me what I'm needing?" or "why aren't you giving me what I require"

It all means the same.

It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

To me the intro is a complete disaster.. She overuses "like" and "just" which makes it cringy and leaves a bad taste before you've heard the actual song which I love.

Unnecessary weird shift in her accent in Perfect Illusion, Applause and Aura - but it's kinda fun to imitate sometimes.

No, it's a rhetorical question, I believe. She underestimates his power by saying he can't give her what she needs, but does it in the form of a question in order to sound crueler. It's gramatically correct.

„I allow myself to fail. I allow myself to break. I'm not afraid of my flaws.“

This line doesn't even make sense :saladga:

Well, it does after Gaga explained it. She wants her lover to love her and she begs him to have sex in the 69 position with her. :gaycat:

„I allow myself to fail. I allow myself to break. I'm not afraid of my flaws.“

Dancin' in Circles : The moment when she screams.

This is so amazing, I love it and patiently wait for it everytime I listen to the song.

Hey Girl : The fact that Gaga "vanishes" to apparently give more space to Florence.

Agree.

Sinner's Prayer : The "country sound" you hear at the beginning and that is repeating throughout the song. Unnecessary and cliché.

I loved the Dive Bar version where she started slowly and it first appeared after the first chorus. It was like a beat drop, damn, it's so good.

„I allow myself to fail. I allow myself to break. I'm not afraid of my flaws.“

Ugh, I know right?! Once you notice them, you will be doomed forever. Luckily I don't hear them all the time.

Mess I heard them for the first time a few months ago :emma: but I think they're cool, the song sounds more electronic.

P.S. You're talking about the sounds in the instrumental during the second verse, right?

„I allow myself to fail. I allow myself to break. I'm not afraid of my flaws.“

And 3:50-3:56 of The Edge of Glory—was that awful DERRRRRR guitar noise necessary?

Throwback to the time when we used to have songs longer than 3 and a half minutes :emma:
