I CAN'T STAND HER, but she's probably right TBH (just like Azealia is also usually right about the rip off claims, as much as I dislike her). 

This is probably the worst way for her to discuss it though, plus making it political  but whatever floats her boat, she continues to isolate casual/potential fans. 

PS: I'm not saying she should STFU though, if I was in her position, I'd react the same I guess, even if it wasn't the smartest thing to do.

to say these artists have copied her sound is a compliment to rihanna madonna and especially beyonce. none of the mentioned artists really carved out their own identity in music and people like m.i.a have. no one can replicate what she does, she only sounds familiar to herself. not unlike fka twigs. 

sure get mad at her for talking ill of your "faves" or having a big head, but she deserves to have a big head. she has seen her own world crumble before her and has always felt like a refugee. she's cultivated different cultures across the world into her very own unique blending of sound.
