And here is blatant ignorance about his policy. More than just fair taxation would pay for those programs.

No they wouldn't. Analysts added everything up and it would be impossible to pay for his programs. Bernie's plan would cost $18 trillion, even with his incredibly high tax system, which is ridicuolous, we get taxed enough and work hard for our money, he would still be $11.5 trillion short. Bernie is living in a dream world, nothing is free and his plan would be a disaster.

If she can't get votes, that's her own fault. She is crooked and didn't deserve mine so I didn't give it to her.

So you gave it to Trump. No big deal...it's just the environment and human rights that are in jeopardy. :)

I gave it to a candidate I believe who is a GOOD person. I know you like being stuck in a 2 party trap and voting for evil politicians and then blaming people who believe in something for the loss, but I'm sorry that won't be me.

Blaming people for their thrid party vote is ridiculous, and besides, the electoral college gave Donald the presidency. The popular vote, which handedly went to Clinton, wouldn't have changed much.

i would have to respectfully disagree. if you lived in pennsylvania for example (a state that according to the new york times went 48%D 49%R and 2% other) and were a liberal, and if you voted for a 3rd party candidate in this state, i can't see how a loss to DT there isn't partially the fault of the 3rd party voter. for example, if i were a jill stein voter (a liberal) and knew the race was going to be almost neck and neck, i would have put down my ideals and voted for hillary because at least a liberal (although not uniformly my kind of liberal, but a liberal nonetheless) would hold the white house. this is a political process and sometimes political calculation should be employed in my opinion.

note: this is for this election only considering how DT is. if this were a normal election then this wouldn't be a problem (in my opinion).

...And that's exactly why Orange Pumpkin Face(promoting white supremacists to his cabinet now) is now our President-To-Be!  :koons:

That's your opinion, but what you're really supporting is ranked-choice voting.

No tea, no shade... But Sanders beat Trump in almost all polls while Clinton lost to him.

That's all I feel the need to say. :nails:

So like I said, you can blame Hilliary and the DNC for it :classy: i voted for someone I believe in unlike the rest of you.

but to be fair, clinton won over donald in almost all the polls too (which is why this is an upset). so basically there is really no telling what would have happened.

There's not even a hundredth of issues against Bernie like there was against Hillary.

"OMG he's a socialist!"

Uhhh that doesn't really carry the same sting anymore, sorry.

It does to a bunch of white rural Americans who don't want their taxes to go to funding programs they don't get. Trump and the Republicans would have blanketed the airwaves with pictures of lines of people waiting for food in Venezuela. No one wants to hear about college for all (and we are going to tax you for that, btw) when they are worried that they won't have food to eat. Plus, those same groups of people are absolutely against single payer healthcare for all.

You also can't overlook the white lash component to this win. People wanted the Mexican/Central American immigrants out and immigration from "lands with terroism" (Trump's words) shut down. They wanted Roe vs Wade to be reversed and BLM to be minimized ...for "law and order" to prevail. All of these issues are one Bernie was against, just like Hillary was.

For goodness sake, Trump has promised to screw the environment to bring jobs back and to bring coal jobs back. It's was impossible to fight these crazy policies with any kind of logic.

Lastly, Bernie isn't a political outsider and people wanted someone who wasnt in politics...at all! Maybe someone like Mark Cuban would have been a better choice in that regard? He still wouldn't of had the social policies that people flocked to, though.

And so did Marco, but a primary is different than the general election, when some of these candidates are actually vetted...which Bernie wasn't in the primary.

i totally respect what you're saying and i understand what you're saying too, but what i said (i edited my post after i posed it so you probably didn't see it) is that this was a unique election. if it were any other, i'd understand, vote for you ideals, make a political point, don't put your ideals down to line up with the establishment. but that kind of logic is flawed in this particular circumstance considering the nature of what was then the republican candidate.

Yep, and you are now stuck with someone who is appointing dangerous people to cabinet positions and filling the West Wing with white nationalists. You voted for what we all knew would be coming with the Cheeto Facist as leader of the free world.

bernie would have had all the hillary voters on his side no matter what because they arent voting for trump and he would have kept the voters she lost to trump. also brought out the voters who stayed home after the DNC scandal.

everything mentioned here would go away pretty fast in the current "on to the next one" media environment. none of these are on going investigations like the email scandal so its not something they can bring up over and over and still have the same impact. there is a big book of dirt on bernie? what is in it? if we dont know what is in it then there isnt any way to claim its something horrible or campaign killing so thats useless here.

bern would have won. if bernie never came in and looked better than hillary then hillary would have won or if hillary and the DNC ran an entirely clean campaign she would have won.

btw

350px-Democratic_Party_presidential_prim

the democratic primary results

Green = Bernie

Gold = Hillary

he was more popular than her in michigan and wisconsin. maybe bernie loses nevada, but it really looks like he would have had a better shot had he won cleanly which i do not believe he would have done even if the DNC ran a clean campaign. she had name recognition and it was enough. cant cry over the primaries. had the DNC not colluded, hillary would be in the whitehouse

Upset the Established Order.
