Why 'Joanne' Era Is Better Than The 'ARTPOP' Era

Joanne >>> ARTPOP in terms of the music. Sadly the 'era' aspect couldn't be much worse. If it wasn't for the AMA performance this Sunday I'd nearly believe she's on one of her post-era wind downs

Is she really happier? To be honest, she seemed a lot happier during the ARTPOP interviews, and a lot more dedicated to the project, than during Joanne's.

She defended ARTPOP so much it became annoying at some point. I have yet to see her standing up for Joanne the same way.

 

She took months before abandoning the ARTPOP era. She took two weeks to do it with Joanne. I know there is a lot going in the future, namely AMAs VS SB, but it looks like Gaga is taking little breaks and that shows an inability to properly manage her schedule. Taking things slow =/= stop for a couple of weeks.

 

I agree with that one person who said Joanne could be Gaga's Tapestry (Elton, I think?), but she is so unfocused this era it's becoming forgettable.

she's human and joanne probably bored her.  been listening to BTW and AP lately and the difference in quality is astounding.  joanne is totally a good album just super boring.

for the ARTPOP era gaga had many tv performances and attended events etc. I think theres been no tv performances except SNL & Japan? dont quote me 

most of the gp dont even know she has a new album out , i think this era is a slow burner and after the Super Bowl the album will gather much more attention. i hope anyway

In my opinion ARTPOP wins in every category, the music was better, better performances, more promo even though her management was crumbling, actual music videos not the Perfect Illusion mess, singles that peaked higher than #10. She hasn't learnt her lesson that's the sad thing, I guarantee this era will make people see ARTPOP in a different light. I hope promo picks up soon, I'd like to be pleasantly surprised.

I agree with you! This is what I'm trying to say, she just seems to lackadaisical, nothing new but a Twitter pity party, and if people bring up the Victoria Secret show again  That was filmed ages ago when she still had her Dive Bar tour. As for the Superbowl, that is going to make things awkward cause no one will know any of her Joanne material.

Joanne feels better than ARTPOP cause it met our expectations. We were expecting ARTPOP to be a mega hit like the previous albums, we were frustrated. We were expecting Joanne to sell little, we were sufficed.

I did expect better music though  I haven't listened to Joanne is like 2 weeks I find it so boring. Hopefully her next pop album will be my cuppa tea.

I don't agree. ARTPOP seemed more genuine than Joanne. Joanne era is not bad by any means, but it feels forced. I don't think Joanne is as genuine as she wants it to be. I don't care what people say about ARTPOP it was a genius album. It wasn't critically aclaim but it is miles better and bolder than Joanne

I promise you this: No matter what happens with an era or how messy and chaotic it was, fans will always say they liked it better than the current one. It's happened every era since The Fame/The Fame Monster. Every. Single. Time. It's like f***ing clockwork, man.

Joanne is perfect. I'd take this Gaga over ARTPOP any day.
