Let people find it themselves. Nobody is shoving it in your face, vegans are 1% of the world population, most people have never even met one. I'm doing my best to spread information to people who may not be aware of it, the people who view it can choose what they do with that knowledge after, please stop being so melodramatic. Your attitude is sure convincing me of your cause. Vegans may be 1%, but they are the loudest and most annoying 1% I've had the displeasure of dealing with. If you are interested in what you can do to help stop animal abuse or help the environment then veganism can be an easy way to make a change in your life. If neither interest you and you have nothing to discuss or refute from the study then this isn't the thread for you. You can read back on every page of this thread, I attacked no one and did my best to keep it civil, I am not a loud or obnoxious person. I refuse to abuse animals, and my greatest hope is that others will stop, I don't see that as being an invasive or disrespectful cause. I'm sorry if you have had bad experiences with people who are vegans in the past, but do not put that blame on me. You should read up on cognitive dissonance. Solid I said I'm not obnoxious because you were pretending all vegans like to get in people's face, which if you read this entire thread and see all the vegans commenting respectfully you will see it's untrue. Writing two paragraphs does not equal invasiveness or egotism. My comment about reading up in cognitive dissonance is not at all passive aggressive either, it's a very common experience, and you are obviously experiencing extreme defensiveness and diverting from the main argument, which are symptoms. Take this information from the study, from the comments on this thread, and from whatever information you find from googling cognitive dissonance, and do with it what you will. I'm not interested in petty arguments or trolling. FATWIFE, First Lady Of GGD

Most of the world is forced to eat vegetarian diets because they cannot afford meat, and most of them don't ever eat cheese. It's not some rehabilitation program, there's no such thing as relapsing on a vegan diet. Veganism is about doing the best you can to reduce suffering, you can still eat what you crave, just try alternatives. There is plenty of vegan junk food, just scroll a few pages back and you can find several recipes I posted. I can't count how many time I ate ramen noodles or went dumpster diving at -30celcius in the winter to get food because I spent so much money on a standard brick of cheese or a piece of meat and couldn't afford eating 3 meals a day. A pack or can of beans/lentils is really cheap for example and most of vegetables and fruit are cheap, even for me that lives in a country where more than 80% of its food is from another country and produce are pricier than other places (Canada). I agree that there are vegan products that are expensive, mostly frozen "meats" are, but it's the same for fancy pieces of meat or something like that. There are a lot of products that I buy that are affordable and comparable to the prices of the non-vegan ones. As a really poor student, veganism really helped me, as I can afford way much more food than i did before. edit (i forgot to say that aha): I am now living in a really small town in the middle of nowhere in Canada and i was freaking out about the idea of not being able to find vegan food, but they sell vegan products that I thought I would only find in the city. It's harder for restaurants though!
