Study's have actually argued that we evolved from cooking food, not just from eating meat. Regardless, we evolved, we are here and healthy, and we now have the option to not eat meat.

Did you read the study? I'm not saying I don't "agree" with a lifestyle, I was providing evidence that veganism can help the Earth.

This is interesting. I had once heard from an anthropology professor that we evolved because we had to hunt for meat, and being physically disadvantaged (weaker/slower/less sharp perception etc.) than most of our pray, we had to exercise our brain a lot. I would like to read about the cooking staff, do you have any link?

I've never had Quorn products, and I am sure most vegans haven't either. No product is necessary to eat as a vegan.

I know I'm just being silly lol

Quorn usually contains eggs and milk. Maybe they are the culprit that made you feel ill.

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

That's how I started as well. I believe it's best to go one step at a time until you find a balance that works for you. Let me know if you need any advice or recipes :lolly:

I have tried their products and I thought they were okay. If you'd like to try another meat substitute, I would recommend Gardein for delicious vegan meat and meatballs (you can find them in Target) and Tofurkey makes amazing vegan sausages that are super high in protein. I love their andouille and the bratwurst.

Good to know! I tried some other vegan stuff after that was pretty good. But I'm staying away from Quorn lol

If I could go vegan, I would. Tried for a year but I got REALLY sick from the lack of meat. My body just couldn't take it.

Lace up my boots, throw on some leather and cruise.

Did you speak to your doctor about this? You could also see a registered dietitian, it doesn't really make sense why you would get sick without meat, we can survive easily without it. Hope everything is okay and it was just a diet issue!

Have you tried removing things slowly one step at a time while you find good substitutes for each food group? It took me over a year to transition and I've honestly never felt better or had more energy.

I once went cold turkey and didn't really know what I was doing. I felt miserable, but when I transitioned slowly while educating myself it was so much more manageable and I've had great results.

I already said that the morality of killing and eating animals isn't the deciding factor for my food choices, but oysters in particular really gross me out.

I don't like the idea of eating the entirety of something. Mostly because of the digestive tract. And thinking about eating something that has been cooked with the head gives me goosebumps. Crawfish are a no go. Shrimp sometimes do it too.

Very recently actually, going past the meat section of the grocery store has made me feel uncomfortable. All the dead carcasses wraped in plastic kind of gross me out.
