Not The Real Gaga

People get sued here in The Netherlands when they say something like that about a politician.

I am sorry, but such comparisons are totally irrational and out of proportions. Again, I am not an American, but your democratic system is sick and you can't blame the opposite party for it.

And, excuse me, but seein' all those (stupid) political fights here on GagaDaily, makes me feel really uncomfortable and not welcome anymore.

'Cause there isn't any form of debate here, it's just all about personal attacks and weak arguments. But, that's something characteristic for the American Elections, I guess. It has literally nothing to do with politics, nothing!

You're blaming and bullying each other for everything. Make GagaDaily nice again, please. And a realy, warm-hearted community.

Amen. :diane:

I get your point but this forum is made of, what, 80-90% LGBT? Americans elected an anti-LGBT president with an even more hostile VP, from what it seems.

I'm not surprised this forum is affected. And that's not considering the POCs yet.

Did you read the article? Isn't that the EXACT excuse Trump supporters are using? How is blown out of proportions?

Thank you for your wise words. This site needs to be nice again. I'm so sick as well of this "political" shiet on this site.

But just wait, people will come after you "you're attention ***** for saying this".

Mte, even that mentioning of my name in the OP. Like seriously :smh:

On-topic: you can say what you want but Trump is no way like Hitler and USA is no way like Germany in in the 1930's.

Isn't it sad that we need to compare horrible persons though? Like can't we just agree that Hitler was a monster. And Trump right now is a monster as well. Comparisons between to different persons in two different country in two different time zones can't and won't work. We need to see them as individuals and call them out individually. Comparisons are not needed at all.

The comparison is used to try and disillusion the people that believe Trump is saying all these things to 'trick' the racists and bigots into voting him. This was the exact mentality that existed back in the 1920s. It also shows how history repeats itself.

You are exaggerating. Fascists always came into power. Trump is not a Hitler.

(Also funny i'm discussing with you this considering you had Hitler as your avi)

As I said in other thread about this, denial is the first stage of grief, upon a great disappointment people's first reaction is very delulu

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

River

Don't give Trump too much credit, he's kinda dumb and his opinions are mostly similar to the common uneducated American that comments on an article..

Hitler had a plan, he knew what he was doing.. Trump barely knows how the voting system works..

So he's not the next Hitler.. even Kim Jong-un is not yet the next Hitler.

One day, unfortunately, we will get the next Hitler again.. it's a circle of life kind of things.. but not atm..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

To be honest, I don't know anything about politics, but this did immediately remind me of Trump and his supporters. People think he's just trolling, but I'm afraid he's not kidding about his unequal and questionable views. While it might seem dangerous to have him as a president, I still think that he's not able to rebuild a society that discriminates POC, women and the LGBTQ. Hello, it's 2016!

http://www.gq.com/story/donald-trump-hitler-speeches-book

Last April, perhaps in a surge of Czech nationalism, Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed. Kennedy now guards a copy of My New Order in a closet at his office, as if it were a grenade. Hitler’s speeches, from his earliest days up through the Phony War of 1939, reveal his extraordinary ability as a master propagandist.

“Did your cousin John give you the Hitler speeches?” I asked Trump.

Trump hesitated. “Who told you that?”

“I don’t remember,” I said.

“Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of Mein Kampf, and he’s a Jew.” (“I did give him a book about Hitler,” Marty Davis said. “But it was My New Order, Hitler’s speeches, not Mein Kampf. I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I’m not Jewish.”)

Later, Trump returned to this subject. “If I had these speeches, and I am not saying that I do, I would never read them.”

-------

Gonna repeat myself here

- Trump supports torture.

- Trump doesn't care about human rights.

- Trump plans to intentionally target/kill civilians.

- Trump will introduce database of citizens based on religion and doesn't object to them wearing badges to identify themselves.

- Donald Trump defended World War II internment camps
