Was Joanne low-key a flop in Europe?

She keeps being a bit forgotten, or i might say a lot. Just means that this era might be a bit long and lots of opportunities for the album to sell. If she doesn't come to Europe and does real hardcore promo this era will go unoticed. We need something that makes headlines or this era becomes too difficult to promote. I hope there's any chance in the near future for a real headline where Gaga is concercened, no sextape, something like a protest that is important etc. that makes it to newspapers etc.

How isn't it good?

It's not "SLAAAAY", but it's still definitely good.

I really wish Bobby would work on getting her promotion in Europe again. The Europe leg of her tour is going to look pitiful at this rate. There are plenty of artists who can popular all over the world without doing promo but Gaga, as of this moment in time, is not one of them. Her new work just isn't getting airplay worldwide and its affecting her sales and her releavance. Even doing some promo in one country can have a springboard effect. I can't believe she cancelled her Graham Norton appearance (and rumoured X Factor one too). Seriously, what was she thinking? I mean, she just lives over the water - how come she can make a trip of thousands of miles to Japan for promo but she can't just come over to Britain from NY? The promo for AP was pitiful but this is making that look good by comparison. Obviously, she knew she needed Japan promo as this is the kind of music that would struggle to be accepted there but Europe isn't exactly country's biggest fans either! Taylor Swift didn't become popular here until she went pop! I really hope Gaga doesn't start to become a more US-based act from here on out. That so rarely works unless you're say, Beyonce.

Yes, until now it has been somewhat of a flop... I'm playing songs from it every week in my show on local radio though ;-) Only problem with it not hitting the top of the charts is that we might not get that many singles and videos :-(

I wouldn't say flop, but I am very surprised that it reached #3 here in the UK, I didn't expect it to go any further than that after she cancelled some UK promo. It's a shame because I think the moment has passed, I could be wrong and she could rush release a single because Million Reasons is currently #114 in the UK. But saying all this I never hear Gaga on the radio here and most, if not all the people I know really dislike her and hated Perfect Illusion.

There isn't any promo except around album launch :neyde:

Radios aren't playing her at all :neyde:

I feel like the GP completly forgot about Gaga and doesn't even care :neyde:

Even Side To Side seems to have more impact :rip:

:neyde:

Why do u say "even" Side To Side? It was a song with good music and note worthy performances (particularly the VMAs). It should be a hit, Ariana created a good song and promoted it well, she deserves a hit.

Into You deserved it more. The bop that got away.

And yes people dont check much for Gaga in Europe at the moment. Things like performing at the oscars, singing the national anthem at the superbowl, american horror story, ... didnt really gave her any buzz here. And she's pretty absent from radio besides an old hit from The Fame now and then.

Well, when you don't promote a song and give it a **** music video with no replay value, that's what happens.

seriously she didn't a perform the song anywhere during its main run as a single. If she had the TCAs, Jimmy Fallon, maybe the Today concert series and gave the song an epic video with great visuals and decent chores, the song would've definitely went top 10 minimum.

She literally has done no proper promo for this era/album which is very dumb if you're going to headline the Super Bowl this year. Half the show will be songs from joanne the gp doesn't know and then get criticized for it. The only thing stopping her from being successful is herself. What happened to that woman that lived for the applause and wanted to give so much to the fans and world?
