Seeka 12,372
He's Not Our President - Original Facebook link. Full article under spoiler. Spoiler There has been a mistake made in the American voting system. A mistake so grand and awful in scale it may effect us for generations. Prejudice has temporarily won, and it may permanently win if we decide to lay down and take it. I have no plans to lay down and take, and I believe no one, whether in the U.S., or the world, should take it either. He's not our President. Despite our revolutionary election, it produced ugly results. It was a change, a change that will have a negative impact if we let allow the continuance of it. it's instead, time for a revolution against the results. This is a phenomena, a series of unfortunate events we can turn over. We do not have be discontented, loathing, faithless, but we do have to be proactive. This man is not my President. This man is not your President. If we work hard for this change, he will not be President. He was not the choice of the world, and wasn't even the choice of the U.S. He lost the popular vote, but due to the electoral college, he has won, for now. But we, the world, can change this. We are the human race, denizens of the world. We can speak up. We can use our voices. This is a campaign, a movement, a protest, a right of humanity for humanity. This is for the world. Us, as citizens of the planet. Letters, and now emails, are a more traditional way of getting your voice heard. A letter can speak volumes, and a cart of letters careening across the desks of multiple government workers screams even moreso. If you're American, try writing physical letters alongside your emails. The President's email: [email protected] You can write him at this address: The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC 20500 You can also call the president, but I doubt it's effectiveness, but do what needs to be done. Phone Numbers: Comments: 202-456-1111 Switchboard: 202-456-1414 TTY/TTD Comments: 202-456-6213 Visitor's Office: 202-456-2121 If you are a resident outside of the U.S. but still of this world (sorry extraterrestrial beings) and you feel that your English is not worthy of a letter to the President, absolutely no worries. We will find a translator and not only translate, draft, and send it, but we'll also send the original letter you sent us. If you believe you are in need of these services please email your letter to us at: [email protected]. However, we cannot stop there. Let us mail our senators and representatives. Though it's best that only American's mail senators and representatives Find your Senator:http://www.senate.gov/senators/contact/ Find your Representative:http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/ While these are the most important people to contact, you can feel free to Google around and contact other important government offices and workers. Even the First lady, Michelle Obama may be incredibly receptive. Anyone who you think is worthy of mailing, feel free to do so. Do your most, do your best, and do whatever you can. But let's not stop there. Let's never stop there. Let us use our extraordinary talents and skills to fight against this outcome. Let us make our own outcome. If you can write, write. Write prose and poetry about the world and the negative impact a Trump presidency would have. If you're an artist, create. Create art of how a world would look like down the line. If you're a singer, sing about the world and its people. Producers produce. Videographers, photographers, documentarians, playwrights. Whatever you do, do it to the fullest extent against Trump. Fight, revolt in your own way. Just remember to tag it and send it our way. We want to help be at the forefront of this change. We want to show the world we know this is a mistake. The President is a role important to the world, not just the United States and the Outlying territories that belong to it. Everyone should have a say in it. This is not some pro-Hillary campaign, or pro-Bernie. All this is, is a protest, a movement against the dystopian future this man presents. It doesn't matter who you voted for. Whether you voted democrat and are anguished with the results, or if you voted for Trump and find yourself full of regret. or if you didn't vote at all, just to find yourself wishing to have added to the popular vote. Or if you're an outsider living in another country, but knowing fully well how this despicable man will effect everything else in the world. This is nothing but everything. A new political campaign ran by the people. This man is not my president. He's not your president. He's not our president. And we shall fight until inauguration, even if we have to drag this wretched man off the Presidential stage ourselves. This is my protest. I'm leading it. And besides that facebook page, I plan on starting a twitter, tumblr, insta, and youtube under this same name. @En_Sabah_Nur Sorry I used the piccie without your permission, but I was too fired up. I may be trying to be at the head of this, I know I won't be good at it, and I need others' help. I need graphic designers to make cool graphics for all may pages, and make cool instagram posts. I need someone to make video content for the youtube page... I essentially need help handling all the social media pages... Translators for the emails. I have this idea, but I know I can't handle it alone. but I know I'm not alone. Just sharing this page, and doing what you can, as a denizen of the world, would make me happy.
