GagaXCupcakke 3,818
Everyone keeps saying that Gaga should perform ballads at the super bowl. Do people normally perform ballads there? I don't think so. I can't recall anyone singing a ballad there before. (I'm sure someone will pull out receipts of a show 40 years ago) The super bowl is about making people pumped!!! Not to make people sad!

FATCAT 60,299
I'm sure if she includes one, it won't be a super-sad ballad with lots of pauses. Probably something like Edge of Glory that she can end strong on without being piano bound. This kitten over here (meow)

Imagine her having a 2-minute speech before playing a ballad in the SB Flyin' like a 1000 Doves
androiduser 7,438
an uptempo ballad can close the show, Million Reasons would be good, or The Edge of Glory, although it would make more sense to close with an amazing vocal performance of MR, this could be Gaga's defining moment. Some fans are wishing for Angel Down, but I don't see why she would perform a non-single
JustAnotherDay 8,402
most performers usually end with a sentimental ballad, Madonna did Like A Prayer, Prince did Purple Rain, Beyonce did Halo, Bruno did Just The Way You Are, Coldplay did Fix You. I don't think she would do Million Reasons though, too downbeat, probably TEOG was NickARTPOP
Bebe 17,106
Many artists have put slower numbers in their Superbowl set. It can be a nice change of pace and add some depth to the performance. Check out (9:45) (10:53) Bruno also started his halftime show on his Drum Set: I'm not sure there have really been any performers in recent memory who have been able to play the piano, but a piano ballad (or at least a section of Gaga at the piano) would not be so out of place if done well. GagaXCupcakke 3,818
People don't know what a ballad is. Edge of Glory and Like a Prayer are not ballads. Million Reasons is a ballad

A slower number, like a ballad, wouldn't be so out of place when you consider that.

Guest
Yoü and I would be perfect, but it's more of a rock ballad. If she does any ballad, it would probably be Million Reasons, only if it does really well while it's a single. She could work it in perfectly fine. JupiterDrive 2,788
idk how the superbowl halftime thing goes but i cant see her hype dancing then stopping and singing sad songs i know she does that on tours but she takes like ages for speeches before the ballads come on
