Up until 1989, her albums were basically solo and she'd only feature with other country acts and her collabs were fairly rare. Even with Red, Ed Sheeran hadn't become massive worldwide at that point. But suddenly, 1989 hits and she's hanging out with everyone who ever had a hit in the last year or two, even if they have one hit wonder written all over them or are still trying to become established. So, of course she wants to work with Drake - she wants to work with anyone who's vaguely relevant right now and realises working with someone like him is chart gold.
