All of the posts here thinking this isn't a great number clearly have no clue about sales and should refrain from posting. In 2016 she did great, we really couldn't expect more from her in terms of debut. Well done, Gaga.

Chill. I didn't want to drag her. Just meant she was more global during tf/m and btw (also AP to some extend). I'm very happy with this real so far. This is just one thing I believe could be better

That's fantastic - she'll definitely get to 1 million copies WW! For an album with a promotional campaign that has been somewhat minimal, this is really great. I honestly believe the buzz created as a result of the album dropping and the reception its' enjoyed was the reason why sales exceeded the industry's prediction.

What ever rocks your boat. To me it isn't shady to call out Ppl for calling RH a flop and then praise Gaga for LESS sales on last quarter release without leaks.

Considering the relative lack of promo in most countries, the current catastrophic state of Music Industry, the fact that her "Imperial Moment" ended years ago and that a lot of people outside US have a lot of prejudice toward what they think Joanne is like (I am sure GP still thinks it's basically a Country Album, and let's face PI didn't introduce the Album in a good way) I think it's a very good start.

Now, she really has to do promo everywhere, the album has to stay relevant for several months. I still think it could be a sleeper hit (I mean, look what MR achieved, two weeks after being released!)

Piracy has always existed and that hasn't stopped albums and songs from selling millions, complaining about and blaming it is so 08-09
