Chelseaaaaaa 1,453 Posted October 30, 2016 Share Posted October 30, 2016 I work in PR in NYC, as do many of my friends, and a friend of mine does PR in Japan since Jume 2016 as well, mainly for the show "SUKKIRI". He mentioned that his boyfriend is a personal assistant to the director of fashion at the show. Gaga allegedly requested a bunch of clothes from fashion designers for her appearance, including 6 pieces from Yōji Yamamoto, who is often dubbed Japan's McQueen. It would make sense if she's gonna serve avant-garde anywhere this era, it would be there. Japanese fans LOVE that side of Gaga. The media does as well and would probably bash her for abandoning it; unlike the western critics. So, if nothing else, I suppose we can look forward to next week's #looks. I don't think they'd respond so well to the ultra-Americana/country image she's been putting forward so far. And historically she's always brought it when coming to Japan. Either way I'm excited to see what she does! Exactly. She has worn this particular designer a lot in the past year too (C2C & AHS) so it's not that hard to believe. She doesn't have to dress like its 2010, but that doesn't mean she won't be eccentric. Japan just doesn't enjoy the same aesthetic the western world does.
